Is Jesus Christ truly coming back?

Memorise: “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be” ( Rev 22:12)

Read: John 14:1-3

In Matthew 28:5, an angel told the women who came to the tomb of Jesus not to fear because they sought after Jesus. When you seek Jesus, He will protect you from every evil. When you seek Jesus, everything else you forsook in the process will seek after you (Matt 6:33).It is wisdom to seek Jesus. The wise men sought Him and their joy was full and they received direction from Heaven (Matt 2:9-12). Whom are you seeking – Jesus or material things? Some people are afraid of tomorrow. They fear that there might be a war. Even if there is one, the One who lives forever will protect you from its effects. If the Lord says you should not be afraid but you continue to live in fear, He may not be able to help you.

Fear in your heart limits His power and might.

Fear only what He says you should fear -God, and refuse to fear anything else.

Apart from the fact that Jesus rose from the dead, He is coming back again. Revelation 22:12 says, “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be”. The Lord is coming. John 14:1-3 says one reason He went away was because of you and I. He went to prepare a place for us. He is coming to take us to those prepared mansions. Are you ready?

He is coming. The signs of His return surround us: the move towards a cashless society, increase in knowledge- for instance through the internet, lots of people growing cold in the Lord, etc. But even if He tarries, when your time comes to leave the scene, you will go. Each time somebody passes on to glory, for that fellow, the Lord has returned.

When I was the PFN president, a young man preached a sermon on the second coming of Christ in one of our conferences. He tried to prove with reasons that His coming was at hand. At the end of it, I came to make a comment. I wanted to say if the Lord tarries, you may still go but because a bishop just passed on and I did not want them to think I was referring to him, I said, if you do not believe all we have said concerning His second coming, believe it because the Bible said so. A few days later the young man who preached the sermon passed away in his sleep. He is coming. But are you ready?

What is that thing that can disqualify you from Heaven? Deal with it today before it is too late.

Writing a prayer request

Memorise: “For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness” (Ps107:9)

Read: 2 Kings 5:5-7

After the little maid in Naaman’s house had convinced everyone who cared to know that healing was awaiting her master in Israel, the king of Syria took it from there. He wrote the Israeli king that he must cure Naaman of his leprosy. The maid clearly told them where to go – to the national prophet – Elisha but they wrote to the king. This is some diversion. One reason many needs or desires are not met is because they are misplaced. Misplaced requests never get to their destination. In Genesis 30:1-2, Rachel was desperately in need of children. She had tried all she knew how to. One day, she grabbed her husband Jacob by the collar and told him: “It is either you give me children today or I die”. Once again a good request was misplaced. No man gives children because Psalm 127:3 says they are from God.

Asking your spouse for a child is a good but misplaced request. It is essential that requests be properly channelled to the appropriate quarters for action to be taken on them. Some wives or children make good but misplaced requests of their husbands and parents. You are asking the wrong person. Some wives nag their husbands over a particular need to the point that instead of being met, it stirs up anger as in the case of Rachel and Jacob.

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Phil 4:6). This scripture did not say you should channel some, but all your requests to God. It did not say take all these requests to your husband or father. Why? James 1:17 says every good thing comes from God, not your spouse.

Psalm 107:9 says, “For prayerequestshe satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness”. Although parents should provide for their households or they are worse than unbelievers, they must not be turned into your source. Your spouse is not your source. Your father is not your source: God is your source.

When you have a need, before you make it known to your parents or spouse, first tell your Source – the Lord Jesus Christ. He will decide how the need will be met. If you cultivate the habit of going to God concerning every need, it will save you time and bring your desired results.

Re-address your misdirected requests to the appropriate person – The El-Shaddai.

Deliverance by the Blood of Jesus

By Babatope Babalobi

To listen to the Audio of this message, visit here

The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. Exodus 12 vs 13.

King James Bible Mathew 6 vs 34-Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.

I will like to relate three testimonies based on personal  experiences that prove to me that the blood of Jesus can deliver you from falling from any evil.

My first testimony is my deliverance from armed robbery. About four years ago, , about seven  armed robbers with guns, pistols, and other dangerous weapons visited my house.. One of them had knocked on the front door, and I opened the door thinking the person knocking was a visitor. As soon as the door was opened,  and they sighted me, the leader pointed a gun at me.

ADEBOYE: qualities of leadership

PASTOR ADEBOYE

Memorise: “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps” (1 Pet 2:21)

Read: Proverbs 3:5-6

Ants are very unique creatures we must learn from. Their size is so negligible that you can easily tread on them unknowingly. Yet, they keep amazing us with their feats.

Proverbs 6:7 says they do not need guides, overseers or rulers to achieve their goals. You can hardly say that of any human being. Jeremiah 10:23 says, “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps”. Human beings are so limited that they cannot see beyond their nose.

This is why you must acquaint God with all your plans and receive His direction. The other thing to note here is that ants do not need physical guides, overseers or rulers because God steps ahead of them, and they follow. 1 Peter 2:21 says, “For hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps”.

Like God has gone ahead of the ants, Christ has gone ahead of us. His footprints are everywhere for us to see and follow but unlike ants, we refuse to follow them.

Rather than follow the steps of the Master, we are searching for the footprints of mortals. As long as you refuse to take His steps, you will continue to be in want of direction, unlike ants.

Another lesson here is that ants have a high level of initiative. For you to be without external direction and yet achieve laudable goals and objectives, you must have a good dose of initiative. Initiative refers to the ability to know what is appropriate to do, and go ahead and do it without being told. If you must succeed in secular and ministerial assignments, you must have initiative.

This virtue distinguishes the men from the boys, managers from subordinates, the outstanding from mediocres. If you see something going wrong and cannot take a bold step to prevent or correct it, you may simply be lacking initiative.

One trait that is sought for in leaders and those who would be chosen to lead their peers is initiative. The more of it you have, the less of external direction you require to succeed. The fellow who always awaits orders before knowing what to do, may never amount to anything in life. Those with initiative think ahead. They think for their leaders. They are proactive.

They complain less but act more. They are problem solvers. They are self-motivated. How much initiative do you apply in your daily assignments? A child with initiative will perform assignments, take steps to forestall problems and answer unasked questions. In the process, he develops into a great thinker, inventor or creator. Do you have initiative?

Ask God for this leadership trait today.

Bishop Jakes: Understanding the Grace of God

T.D Jakes

Psalm 91:1-13

In the process of creating Eve, the mother of all living, God’s timing was crucial. He did not unveil her until everything she needed was provided. From establishment to relationship, all things were in order. Woman was mean to be covered, to be nurtured and protected. Originally, Adam was her covering.

My sister even, as a child, you were made to be covered. If someone “uncovered” you, there is a feeling of being violated. Even these feeling are suppressed, they are still powerful. I think it is interesting that when the Bible talks about incest, it uses the word uncovered.

Sexual abuse violated the covering of the family and responsible persona whom you looked to from guidance. This stripping away of relationships leaves you exposed and valuable to the reality of corrupt, lust imaginations. Like fruit peeled too soon, it is wrong to uncover what God wished to remain protected.

To molest a child is to uncover her to leave her feeling unprotected. Do you realized that one of the things the blood of Jesus Christ does is to cover us? Like Noah’s sons who covered the father’s nakedness, the blood of Jesus will cover the uncovered. He will not allow spending the rest of your life exposed and violated.

Reach out and embrace the fact that God has been watch over you, all your life. My sister, he covers you, clothes you are blesses you, rejoice in Him in spite of the broken places.

God’s grace is sufficient for your needs and your scars. He will anoint you with oil. The anointing oil is upon you now.

JOB 23:10

Some of the greatest challenges to our faith are those moments when we must endure the cold of a disappointment when we fail to receive what we have anticipated.

I know fist and the sinking feeling of dejection that comes into your heart when things fall through. It feels almost as through an earthquake has struck in your heart. The very things you were counting on and standing n have slipped from under you and something inside you begins to sink.

The floor gives way, and everything you have planned seems meaningless. The temptation is to have an all-out party-complete with candles cake, and ice cream!

There is no shield that can keep away the days that come to teach our hearts submission to God’s will and purpose for us. There are no cards that are so poetic, no roses that are so fragrant that they dismiss the tingling sensations of brokenness that come upon us when we see our expectations cave in.

it’s a feeling that will bring the most mature person into a fetal position. It comes as if it will not leave, but you can be sure that is not so. It will go, and the sun will come again and rebuke the clouds that have hidden the light of God’s purpose from shining through to you.

There is within the human capacity a tenacious survival instinct that kicks in when we are at our lowest. It enables us to succeed through the storms of life. They will come, but they will not overthrow you if you learn to trust God even when you can’t trace Him.

He is so wise. He knows the greater truths that can only be realized by eyes that vans behold today and tomorrow in one glance. He vision supersedes our nearsighted requests centered on the thirst of the day and not the droughts of the future.

He must, as a good Father, deny requests that would insult the greater destiny he has prepared for those who are when you would be endangered by a positive response. In short, He loves you enough to say no!

You may not know why you have had to face the chilling winds of despair, but trust His love. Trust God to renew you. And just live on.

Bishop T.D. Jakes sermon on solving problems

By

T.D. Jakes

PSALM 90:8

One of the main reasons women doesn’t share their problems is this: they are told they shouldn’t have problems-especially after they are save!

In Hebrews 11, we find a list of people who are often called the heroes of the faith. On that list you’ll see Noah Abraham and Sarah and Moses’ and Rahab and Gideon and David and Samuel and all the prophets. The amazing thing is that every one of these giant of faith had a problem.

The bible says that some of these heroes were tortured and mocked and scourged and imprisoned and stoned and swan asunder. It says they were afflicted and tormented, and that some of them wandered in deserts and lived in caves.

God’s people have problem was a private problem. It was a public problem. It was a problem that could be in meeting where the women were wearing silk dresses and diamond jewelry and sequined jackets. They were looking good. But I wasn’t fooled. I knew that every imaginable secret was present in that room. That room was filled with private problems.

Sister Rape was present. Sis Child Abuse came along sister Crack Cocaine was there. Sis Battered Wife Depress was sitting right by her side. All the girls were there that night. They are present in any large gathering of women any where in our nation at any  time. The fact that you have a problem is not what matters. What matters is what you choose to do about it.

This woman made the right choice about were to take her problem. Now, she didn’t make the right choice immediately, but she made it ultimately. She had suffered for twelve years and had spent all her money on doctors.

Be careful who you allow to help you. That person who is so eager to treat you may be after your money. Be careful whom you trust with your problem. That person may not be worthy of your trust.

Be careful whom you invited into your confidence. That person may gossip about you behind your back. Beware of the counsel of the ungodly. They’ll give you plenty of advice, but they can give you any lasting help.

If you are going to seek out someone to help you, seek out someone who knows the Answer. Find someone who will say to you Jesus is on the way. Jesus is coming Jesus is the Healer. Jesus is the Problem-Solver. Jesus is the one who can plug the problem that is draining you dry. Reach out and touch Him by faith!

Great Deliverance from evil plantations and strange movements

By
D.K. Olukoya

Praise & Worship

1. I command every evil plantation in my life: come out with all your roots, in the name of Jesus! (Lay your hands on your stomach and keep repeating the emphasized area.)
2. Evil strangers in my body, come all the way out of your hiding places in the mighty name of Jesus
3. Let all avenue of eating or drinking spiritual poisons be closed, in the name of Jesus Let all avenue of eating spiritual poisons be closed, in the name of Jesus
4. I cough out and vomit any foot eaten from the table of the devil, in the name of Jesus. (Cough them out and vomit them in faith. Prime the expulsion.)
5. Let all negative material circulating inn my blood stream be evacuated, in the name of Jesus.

Tips on good parenting and preparation for motherhood

By
Bishop T.D Jakes

God grants some women the unique honor and blessing of becoming mothers. When you have children, hold them, love then care for t hem empower them. But understand that you are only temporary stewards. Your children belong to God. They will grow up and leave.

They were not meant to be grasped or clung to – as if you really could freeze a moment. No, moments cannot be frozen, but will be allowed to hold memories. If you are good at mothering, you will hold the memories and release the child.

If you cannot do that, you will destroy the memories by corrupting the relationship between you and the little chick whose development has outgrown the shell of your parenting.

Many women come close to losing their relationship with their children. They feel betrayed by the growth of the children they trained. They have trained the children to be productivity and then have failed to prepare themselves for that growth-not just the growth of the body but also the growth of the person, the development of personalities and preference.

They feel that the children belligerent when in truth many of the children are just independent. Of course, there are children who grow to be calloused. I pray that you will be spared the disappointment of that experience.

But even if your parenting goes well, there will still be moments when you see your children slipping through your fingers like grains of sand. For many mothers who once struggled to wean the child from tender breasts, it is later a struggle to wean the mother from the child!

Letting go is especially painful when you allow your relationship with your child to become cluttered like an attic stuffed with things that belong somewhere else often there are misplaced passions dumped on the child to compensate for loneliness in other area.

Because there was no place to put them, they were shoved into the attic. Often it is love that should have been invested in a spouse, but there was no spouse or no capacity in the spouse to be loved. So the love was dumped on a child. This is not a healthy love; it is obsessive.

Every good mother, sooner or later, must understand she is denied ownership; she is merely granted steward. This is so important.

Jakes semon on Healing by Jesus

By
Bishop T.D Jakes

Psalm 103: 1-5
When Jesus encountered the infirm woman of Luke 13, He call out to her. There may have been many fine women present that day, but the Lord didn’t call them forward. #

He reached around all of them and found that crippled woman in the back. He called forth the wounded, hunting woman with a past been destroyed by the intrusion of vicious circumstances.
The infirm woman must have though, He wants me. He wants me, I’m frayed and worn, but he wants me. I have been through trouble. I have been through trauma, but wants me!” she make may have though on one would ever want her again. But Jesus wanted her. He had a plan.

She may have known that it would take a while to pt her life back together. She had many things to overcome. She was handicapped. She was probably filed with insecurities. Yet Jesus still called her forward to received His touch.
If you can identify with the feeling of this infirm woman, then know that He’s waiting on you because He wants you. He sees your struggle and He knows all about your pain.

He knows what happened to you eighteen years ago and ten years ago and last week. With patience He waits for you as the father waited for the prodigal son (see Luke 15:11-32). Jesus says to the hurting and the crippled, “I want you enough to wait for you to hobble your way back home.”

Now God says, “I’m going to deliver you and heal you. I’m going to renew and release you. I’m going to tell you who you are. I’m ready to reveal to you why you had to go through what you did to become what you will become.” He says, I’m going to tell you a secret, something just between you and me.

No one else knows. Your boyfriend doesn’t know. Your father, uncle, brother, or whoever abused you doesn’t know. This is the secret: you’re the daughter of a king. Your Father is the King.

When that woman came to Jesus, He proclaimed her freedom. Now she stands erect for the first time in eighteen years. When you come to Jesus, He will cause you to stand in His strength. You will know important you are to Him. Part of your recovery is to learn how to stand up and live in the “now” of today instead of the “then” of yesterday.

I proclaim victory to the abused: you will recover the loss you suffered at the hands of your abuser. You will get back every stolen item. You will reclaim your-esteem, your self-respect, your integrity.

There is a healing going into your spirit right now. I speak of life to you. I speak deliverance to you. I speak restoration to you. All in the mighty name of Jesus-the invincible, all power, everlasting name of Jesus!

Jakes sermons on Jesus The Great Comforter

By
Bishop T.D Jakes

From a window’s heart
O God! My heart hurts with a pain I have never known before! I need hope and I need help, lunch invitations and other opportunities for distraction, but even their love. Cannot reach the pit of my soul that is in so much pain. My loose has left me feeling lost and alone.

His death ended what we had together and what we were together-one flesh, one mind, one spirit.

I do not want to face the world by myself. Pull me back to life from the grave of my grief. Heal the aching of my soul soften the stabling pains I feel when everything I see reminds me of the one I love. Deliver me from feeling guilty over things I wish had been different between is.

Help me to realize that the knew things I wish I had said more often speak to me the living words that only you can utter. Send me the kind of comfort that only comes from heaven.

You are the only man in my life now; I am leaning on your love. Bring the light of your presence to this dark place I’m in. restore me with the tenderness of your mercy, until I am strong and whole again.

Christian morning prayers for streght and faith

Lord, I am weary of the Lords I’m carrying. The business of living has drained the life out of me. And I am just so tried. I don’t think I can face another day. It’s not just sleep I need. I need real rest.

My body needs to rest: my mind needs to rest; even my spirit needs to rest. I need to be renewed from the inside out. And you say, wait. “Wait  upon the Lord, and He shall renew your strength.” I am so weary, Lord that waiting will take all I’ve got.

You promise “quiet resting places” You promise Quietness and assurance forever”. That is what I need. I need to run and hide and rest. O God, bring the river of your life to me. Let it flow and refresh every weary, worn-out place in me.

I want to lie down before the throne of your grace and rest in your presence, my Lord. You call me away to a peaceful, quiet place in you.

God, I thank you for rest. I thank you for rescuing me from my weariness and for renewing me day by day.

Jakes on strength for christian growth

Ecclesiastes 4:10

Every woman has her very own tailor-made infirmity – her place of weakness. Whoever you are, the enemy has been studying you all of your life-spying on you, checking you out figuring out which temptation will work best on you. He’s not going to bring you ice cream if you like chocolate candy.

He knows your weakness, maybe better than you do, and he knows what is most likely to tempt you to sin, worry or doubt.

In case you haven’t experienced this truth yet, let me tell you that church people are prejudiced when it comes to sin. They tend to classify sin in two categories: accepted and unaccepted. if they can relate to your sin – if your weakness is not the same as theirs-it will be unacceptable. In fact, you’ll probably be condemned without benefit of judge, jury, or trial.

We all tend to gravitate toward people who have similar infirmities and there’s danger in that. If we hang around people who are just like we are, we become comfortable calling right wrong or thinking the abnormal is normal. We feed the sin in them and they feed the sin in us.

We help their weakness continue, and they help ours. Instead of healing one another, we make one another worse. In the mercy of God plan, He brings people into out lives who are strong  in area where we are weak and people who are weak in area where are strong. That way we can truly help one another and bring balance to the body of Christ.

When Satan sends his demons out to oppress you, they already have a portfolio on you. They know exactly which buttons to push and exactly which order to push them in. they know particular infirmities. Those demons knows if your father never liked you and if your mother was partial to your older sister.

If your boyfriend rejected you and started going with your best friend. If a teacher said you were stupid and would never amount to anything. Those demons have an entire profile worked up on you so that they won’t have to waste time experimenting on which temptations are going to work best. They know just where you are vulnerable.

In the beautiful old King James Version of the Bible, Jesus said the woman with a spirit of infirmity, “Woman, thou are loose from thine infirmity” Luke13:12). Jesus knew exactly what was wrong with her. He new the very weakness that had her bound up and bend over.

He knows about your infirmity, too. His word to you today is , I’m going to loose you and set you free.” Get ready for him to do it.

Develop faith in God to overcome problems

Psalm 27:13 By

Bishop T.D. Jakes

Let me tell you something about the way things works just before seeds springs forth just before your miracle happens, just before your promise is fulfilled… that when all hell will seem to break out against you.

Just before you experience the fullness of |God power working in you, that’s when the devil will try to break you. Just before the baby arrives that when the labor pains reach their peak. But while you’re waiting all the making of a miracle are growing inside you.

Before I ever wrote a book, I wrote a letter myself. I said, “Don’t die, and don’t die. It’s going to get better in a minute.” I told myself, “you can make it, you can make it. Don’t give up. I said you’re gone through too much to die now.

You make cry, but don’t die. There’s got to be something else for you there’s got to be a reason you feel the way you fee. There’s got to be a blessing on its way that is better than anything you have ever felt before”

Those are the very words I believe the Lord wants me to say to you: Don’t die. Don’t die. Don’t die. Keep standing.

Keep standing God is about to give you another seed to birth. He’s about to open up the windows of heaven and pour you out blessing that will be so great you won’t even have room enough to receive it all.

When God restores you, He will do it so that you are suddenly walking in the light and can hardly recall how dark your life has been. When you move into the fullness of your appointment with God’s destiny, you won’t thing about your past anymore. you won’t have the time or the inclination to dwell on your failures, your mistake, your former life.

You will so busy rising up your miracle and living in your blessing that all the former things in your life will not only be out of your sight and out of your mind but out of your heart.

You will be free. You will be loosed at the last to do and to be God has appointed to you to do and to be.

Prayers for marriage- Let God intervene and restore my marriage

By

Bishop T.D. Jakes

Lord, can there be revival in our marriage? How can something that started out so fresh now seem so stale? I am torn between all the wear. Our intimacy has lost its spontaneity and our love feels canned and uncreative. I need you to break through the veil of politeness that hides our hushed frustration.

Give me the grace to forgive the things that seem insensitive  in my husband. Give me strength and creativity, patience and humility. Make my heart race with the passion and affection that once came so freely. Please, father teaches me how to be a good wife. Bind us together.

I must realize that I will always love an imperfect person, and so will he. Maybe I am learning how you really love me as I reach out to this man who doesn’t always seem in touch with where I am. I see that you love me when I am out of touch with you.

Most of all, Lord, make me like you. Hover over us.  Fashion me fro my husband and him for me. Breathe fresh like into our love and allow us to be friends again, to laugh and play again. I miss the way it’s used to be. Take us back, dear Lord. Take us back. Than you for knowing what to do with our hearts. I believe there will be change because of you.
