Thanksgiving message: Thank God for all His blessings

Posted on

I woke up this morning singing a song of thanksgiving from my sleep, and the Holy Spirit ministered that we should just thank God today.

2 Chronicles 5 vs 13The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: “He is good; his love endures forever.” Then the temple of the LORD was filled with the cloud

11 Chronicles 5 vs. 13-14 – 13. It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; 14. So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

Psalm 9 vs 1 – “I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds”

Psalm 100 vs. 4 – Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
Psalm 107 vs 1O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for hismercy endureth for ever.

Psalm 118 vs 29O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Psalm 136 vs. 1 – O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Luke 11 vs 15-19 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 17 And Jesus answering said, were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. 19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Acts 16:25-26About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody’s chains came loose.

Philippians 4 vs. 6-7 – 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:18In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Sermon: Voice of the Lord

Posted on

Bible study: Hearing God’s voice

Psalm 29 vs 3: The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

Psalm 55 vs 1-3 Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.

Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;

Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me

Revelation 3:20(KJV) – 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

  1. A strange but tragic incident happened in Lagos, Nigeria recently, when a young man, a Medical Doctor by Profession, who was being chauffeured driven to a meeting, suddenly ordered his Driver to park the car on top of a bridge over the Lagos lagoon; the young man then alighted from his Jeep, and within a twinkle of an eye, jumped headlong into the Lagos lagoon from the top of the bridge. The reasons for this suicidal act are still being investigated, while his corpse is still being searched in the waters.
  2. You may read the full story here: http://punchng.com/why-orji-killed-himself-doctor/
  3. I mediated on this incident last night, asking the Holy Spirit why the this happened and the Holy Spirit referred me to Psalm 29 vs 3: The voice of theLord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

Commentary on Isaiah 49 vs 24-26: Eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood

Posted on

By Babatope Babalobi babalobi@yahoo.com +2348035897435

  1. The Holy Spirit showed me a strange revelation this morning.
  2. I saw a man standing and suddenly an evil power came like a bird from the sky and started licking the man, and later on began to eat up his  flesh
  3. I woke up in amazement that such horrible things do occur and the Holy Spirit said what I have just seen is the activities of eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood.
  4. At this point you need to pray like this-
  • My flesh is not for ritual sacrifice in Jesus name
  • My flesh become fire, my blood carry fire in Jesus name

Let see what the scriptures say about eaters of flesh in Isaiah 49 vs 26-
24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Who are these eaters of flesh that the scriptures is talking about?

Who are these eaters of flesh that the Holy Spirit showed me in a revelation?

  1. They are the people the Bible called the mighty
  2. They are the powers the Bible called Terrible
  3. They are dark powers that do not respect the power you are carrying
  4. They are dark powers that specialise in taking people as a prey
  5. They are dark powers contending with your destiny
  6. They are oppressive and limiting spirits
  7. They are powers that quench their thirsts with human blood
  8. They are powers that use human flesh with as dinner

What are the activities of these eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood?

  1. They are responsible for unexplainable accidents.  If you see any accident where blood has been spilled and with human carnage, possibly this accident has been programmed
  2. They are responsible for strange deaths in hospital. There several satanic hospitals around that donate patients to dark powers.
  3. They are responsible for ritual sacrifices, murders, and assassinations.
  4. They are responsible for drying sicknesses
  5. The drinkers of blood are responsible for wounds that refuse to heal
  6. The eaters of flesh are responsible for miscarriages, still births, abortions, child and maternal deaths
  7. They are responsible for kidnappings, genocide, civil wars, Islamic extremism like Boko Haram/Isis and all other activities that leads to unnecessary shedding of human blood and waste of life

Image result for Isaiah 49 vs 26-

How do you overcome the eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood?

  1. Become born again
  2. Engage in spiritual warfare
  3. Pray Judgmental prayers
  4. Mark yourself with the blood of Jesus

Memorise: “Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband” (1 Corinthians 7:2)

Read: 1 Corinthians 7:1-2

polygamy“And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery” (Matthew 19:9).

A Christian who is married but goes ahead to take a second wife, or keeps a mistress outside, or divorces and remarries is an adulterer. In the Old Testament, polygamy was allowed but not without its negative effects on family life. However, in the New Testament, the Lord Jesus brought us back to how it was from the beginning.

Certain practices such as polygamy and divorce were permitted then because of the hardness of their hearts. Having seen the negative effects of such on families, He came to put things right with His grace to support. Anyone who is married but still looks out for sexual gratification from any other woman is an adulterer and is heading for hell.

In Matthew 19:4-6, an equation is given: Two – a man and his wife shall be one flesh. Two, not three or four. This talks about a divine blend into oneness. No polygamous home is one before God because they have failed to meet with Heaven’s equation. It is when two become one that it becomes difficult to separate them. This is why most polygamous homes are faced with division and strife, and break faster than true two-some homes.

If you look at the early church, you will notice that polygamy was out of fashion, but the few who stuck with it were not given any meaningful spiritual assignment (1 Timothy 3:2). God did not make a man to be the husband of two or more wives. That is utter confusion! If your pastor or leader is the husband of more than one wife, run out of that assembly. If your pastor or prophet is married, but still keeps a mistress or freely sleeps with other women, he is a false prophet.

Run away from that assembly before he takes you to hell. A polygamist leader will look for various ways, including scriptures to justify his sin. Abraham was a polygamist but he made restitution concerning Hagar. Were you a polygamist before you got saved? Go to your pastor for counselling.

Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life are the root causes of polygamy. Ask God to break their hold over you.

How to hear directly from God

Posted on Updated on

How to hear from God

  1. Be in a quiet place. God is not a Noisemaker, and you may not hear within the multitude of noises. Separate yourself in godly hotel or mountain.
  2. Praise God. Worship him quietly with hymns and songs. Don’t be in a hurry to end the worship. Make it qualitative. Afterwards as you lie down to sleep or rest, He will most likely speak to you.
  3. Request that He speaks to you. If you earnestly ask Him to speak to you, He will most certainly give you a word or revelation.
  4. Be sensitive. God does not speak through visions or revelations alone. He speaks through other Saints, through the Bible, or through the Church. He may send a message to you directly or indirectly through someone else. It may even be through a Television or Radio sermon.
  5. Be still in His presence. Don’t leave the altar of prayer in a hurry. Once you have asked in prayer, be expectant to receive an answer.
  6. He often speaks through dreams and visions. But don’t allow yourself to be deceived by the devil. Godly dreams are very short, biblical, positive, and straightforward. Satanic dreams are long, fearful, story like, and negative.
  7. Lastly, God can speak to you by remaining silence. If you don’t hear from God after you have done all this, then He has in a way answeImage result for hear from godred. Silence is an answer. It means you should be patient, or He does not approve of your plans, or He has answered you before but you stubbornly refused to take the answer, or your hands are unclean as such He can’t speak to you.
  8. However, if you are not his child, then you can’t possibly hear from Him. Would you decide to start a relationship with him today?

Christian and Bible Poem

Posted on Updated on

  • I love you O Lord My love

  • You are my Joy, My Song and My Best friend

  • When I was weak, you were by my side to strengthen me,

  • When I was sick, you rubbed the Balm of Gilead to sooth my nerves.

  • You keep no record of wrongs, I was a Prodigal child, but you welcomed me back, embracing me with your warm hands.

  • How sweet your voice that tells me early in the morning that it is well.

  • I know even right now, that you are thinking of me.

  • I glanced through your hands, and see my name engraved.

  • I know your heart is always throbbing with a desire for my goodness.

  • O Lord, you are my Rose, My Lily and winter coat.

  • You smile keeps me going even when in trouble.

  • I had refused to talk to you because of my unanswered prayers, yet you stand by my door knocking wishing to tell me the good plans you have for me.

  • Accept me back O love, as I have decided to fill my heart with you.

  • Come into me by your spirit, and fill me with your presence

  • Possess my heart, and make it yours.

Bible verses on Jesus as Lord and God?

Posted on

Bible study: Jesus as the Word of God, Jesus as God

Facts about the Word of God

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1 vs 1)……in him was life (vs4)….and the Word was made flesh (vs14)

  1. Jesus is described in these verses as the Word.
  2. Jesus has been in existence since the beginning.
  3. Jesus has been with God since the beginning corroborating the doctrine of Trinity.
  4. If Jesus is the Word, and the Word was God, then Jesus is not only Lord, but God.
  5. Abundant Life comes through Jesus. Jesus physically left the world, but he remains with us as Word. To experience abundant life, all you need to do is to look for the Word (healing Word, prosperity Word, salvation Word, deliverance Word) and apply it to your situation

Word of God, deliver and save me now!

Crisis management: examples from Bible

How to handle crises situations: Lessons from Daniel

Read Daniel 2

Daniel and other wise men in Babylon faces a crisis situation. They were about to be slain but how did Daniel handled the situation and turned impending calamity to promotion?

How should we handle tough difficult crisis situations?

  1. Keep calm: When Daniel heard the news of his assassination, he was not exasperated, but was calm and composed – 13 – So the decree went out, and they began killing the wisemen; and they sought Daniel and his companions, to kill them.
  2. Pray for a mouth and wisdom. Daniel engaged his impending assassination with counsel and wisdom – 14 – Then with counsel and wisdom Daniel answered Arioch, the captain of the king’s guard, who had gone out to kill the wisemen of Babylon;
  3. Be patient. Do not be hasty. Take time to meditate on the solution. Daniel asked for time to come up with a solution. It may not be possible to solve tough problems overnight – 16 – So Daniel went in and asked the king to give him time, that he might tell the king the interpretation.
  4. Seek godly advice. In the multitude of counsel there is a solution. Daniel sought the advice of his friends. He did not consult unbelievers but his godly friends – 17 – Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions,
  5. Pray for God’s mercy – 18 –that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
  6. Petition God and pray for God’s intervention 19 – Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
  7. Remember to bless God with a gift offering when He solves your problem 20 – answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His.
  8. Remember to praise and worship God for giving you a solution 24 – Therefore Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wisemen of Babylon. He went and said thus to him: “Do not destroy the wisemen of Babylon; take me before the king, and I will tell the king the interpretation.”
  9. Remember to give all the glory back to God – 28 – But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, were these:
  10. Lastly, don’t give into the devil. Daniel refused to die, cried to God and God turned his impending calamity to victory – 46 – Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face, prostrate before Daniel, and commanded that they should present an offering and incense to him.

Prayers against sudden death: My life shall not be robbed!

John 10:10 records Jesus saying, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full

“The hole made by burglars that robbed my house this morning as my family and I were away worshiping God in the church. My iPad, Apple MacPro laptop and many other valuable items were stolen. Be careful in case the thieves are able to access my mailboxes, Facebook accounts and other Internet data. Thanks” – Pastor Bayo Afolaranmi

Pastor Bayo Afolaranmi, an Internet Ministry Officer of the Nigerian Baptist Convention posted this entry on his facebook page yesterday. As I read it, the ministration I had is that this is the ministry of the thief that Jesus talks about in John 10 vs 10; Praise God the thief only robbed his physical properties, his soul and that of his children were not robbed. The Holy Spirit ministered these prayers to share with the brethren:

  1. Powers planning to rob my life, I kill you in Jesus name
  2. I kill killing powers and and destroy destroying powers in Jesus name.
  3. Dark powers assigned to cut down my life, I cut you down in Jesus name.
  4. Spiritual robbers of souls, my life is not available for you in Jesus name.
  5. Physical and Spiritual robbers assigned against me, be arrested in Jesus name
  6. I pursue, overtake, and recover all good virtues robbed from me in Jesus name.
  7. I kill every robber of my blessings in Jesus name.

Commentary Job 22 vs 28: Secret to answered prayers

Posted on

Read Job 22 vs 26 – 28: 26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. 27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. 28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

  1. Many of us merely quote Job 22 vs 28, on the power Christians have to decree a thing, but the earlier three verses show that there are conditions to be met before our prayers can be answered.
  2. First, you should delight in the Lord by meditating on His word day and night, doing what pleases Him, and always fellow shipping with Him.- Verse 26
  3. Second, you need to trust in Him, see Him as your helper, and run to Him for deliverance Vs 26.download (2)
  4. Third, you need to pray to God until something happens Vs 27.
  5. Fourth, you need to pay your vows. Are you owning God debts, they pay it up. Vs 27
  6. But for me, the most important condition is ‘having thy delight in the Almighty’. If you have a good relationship with God, He will answer you before asking.
  7. Do you want to walk in the supernatural and have the power to decree prayers to reality? First step is starting  a relationship with God, by giving your life to Christ now.

Bible commentary on 1 Corinthians 3 vs 16: Christians as temples of God

Posted on

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you1 Corinthians 3 vs 16

Being the temple of God, means being His representation, His image, His living church, His glory, and His Holiness. Of course, you can not be a temple of God without the spirit of God living inside you.

Do you wish to be a temple of God, then become born again. Do you wish to remain a temple of God, then avoid these things.

Things to avoid as a Temple of God

  1. Avoid lying- The temple of God should reflect the truth.
  2. Avoid sexual perversion- Fornication, Adultery, Pornography, Homosexuality, Masturbation. The spirit of God inside you will not join you to sleep with a woman not your wife.
  3. Dress well- Your dressing should be modest, add to your beauty, and glorify God.
  4. Don’t Tattoo your bodies- You are the image of God, don’t deface your body with other images.
  5. Avoid evil- Take control of your heart, and cast out wicked thoughts as they come.
  6. Feed your Spirit- The spirit of God inside your needs to be feed from time to time, with the word of God, godly music, and godly movies.
  7. Avoid Anger- the Spirit of God is meek, watch your tongue, avoid anger, provocation, bless don’t curse etc
  8. Avoid evil company- Watch where you go. Before going anyway, ask yourself, would the spirit of God like to be with me in this place? Flee from ungodly places. Don’t go where Jesus will not go.
  9. Avoid fear- You are a temple of God, you cannot be destroyed by Satan. Avoid fear of sudden death, accident, assassination etc. The spirit of God inside you will keep you from all harm.
  10. Be a good Christian- You are a carrier of God’s spirit. There is God in you, let your character show forth His praises.

Nepal earthquake:Nepalese, where are thy gods?

Posted on

                                                 By Babatope Babalobi

Deuteronomy 28:

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lordthy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

59 Then the Lord wImage result for nepal earthquakeill make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.

63 And it shall come to pass, that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

  1. The major global news this past week is the earthquake in Nepal, an Asian countr,  that has led to the death of over 6000 people and left over 12000 people homeless as of today.
  2. When tragedies of this magnitude happen, it is common to question the place of God, and  ask why He has allowed such an occurrence.
  3. Though natural disasters occur in both christian and non christian nations, the promises of the scriptures are still clear..in the mist of these calamities, God will still divinely protect His people from harm.
  4. The case of Nepal is however peculiar. Christians represent less than 1% of the Nepalese population which most being Hindus.
  5. I visited Nepal in 2007, and was amazed to find Hindu shrines in almost every corner, every home, every office, every hotel, every public and every private place.
  6. There are also several hundreds of Hindu temples located all over the country, with reports showing most of them destroyed by the recent earthquake.
  7. The recent earthquake is God’s mockery and judgement on widespread  idolatry in Nepal. The millions of  Hindu shrines and hundreds of  Hindu temples have failed to save their adherents.
  8. But even in the midst of these, Christians should demonstrate God’s love to the victims, intercede for God’s mercy, and pray that the eyes of the people of Nepal should be opened to the foolishness of serving man made gods.

David recovered all: How to overcome life challenges and crisis situations

Posted on

By Babatope Babalobi

Read 1 Samuel 30, This is the story of how Amalekites took the wives, children, and properties of David captive, and ran away with them; but David was able to recover all after God encouraged him to pursue them. There are several lessons from this epic story

  1. they slew not any’– verse 2. God still intervenes when the enemy attacks you. God did not allow the Amalekites to kill the wives and children of David. They merely took them captive. If the Amalekites have killed all the inhabitants of Ziklag when they attacked the city, David would have come and find all members of his household dead. David was able to rescue his household taken captive, because they were still alive, as God restrained the Amalekites from killing them.
  2. They David and the people that were with him wept……until they had no more power to weep’– verse 4. If you are in crisis situation, weeping or crying does not solve your problems, it can only increase your blood pressure making you depressed and hypertensive. David and his people almost wept themselves to death, but this did not bring back the people taken captives. Weeping glories Satan, not God
  3. David was distressed, grieved, and was about to be stoned to death’– verse 6. Are you presently grieved, depressed, and on the verge of committing suicide? David was in a similar situation, but he was able to overcome this. If you follow the steps of David, you shall surely overcome your present grief, depression, and anxieties in Jesus name.
  4. But David encouraged himself in the Lord his God’- verse 6. In whom are you encouraging yourself, when you are in crisis- false prophets, your riches, friends, wisdom, or power? David looked up to the God of heavens when he was in crisis. The first step you need to take to overcome your crisis, is to hand over the burden to the burden bearer and crisis solver.
  5. But David encouraged himself in the Lord his God’- verse 6. David could encouraged himself in the Lord because he had a relationship with God. He was a child of God, and ran to his father for help in trouble. If you are not a child of God, your father would not listen to you in trouble. Another step you need to take to overcome your afflictions and crisis situations is to become a born again Christian. When you surrender your life to God, it includes your burdens, yokes, challenges, crisis, and difficulties.
  6. And David enquired of the Lord’- verse 8. Another secret of overcoming crises is seeking the face of God. The Holy Spirit is the revealer of secrets and knows both the causes of your problems as well as the solutions. You need to enquire from the Lord the way out of your problems. David was able to overcome because, God told him the way out.
  7. And David enquired of the Lord’- verse 8. It goes without saying that before you can enquire of the Lord, you should have a relationship with God.  God would not respond to your prayers, unless  you are not walking in righteousness. God keeps silent when several people call to him in troubles, because their hands are full of sin and iniquities. The days of trouble shall surely come, from time to time, but you need to walk with God always to be able to overcome these evil days through divine guidance.
  8. ‘Pursue, for thou shall surely overtake them, and without fail recover all’ verse 8. Another lesson form this story is that you must be willing to PURSUE if you wish to overcome your problems. Many of us are docile, lazy, fatalistic, and fearful. David pursued his enemies, fought them, overcame them, and recovered all. If he did not pursue, he would not have overtaken. If he did not overtake, he would not have recovered. Depending on your circumstances, the act of pursuing may be different from what David did. But you need to take steps to move forward. You need to challenge powers that are oppressing you. You need to fight to recover your lost fortunes. Restoration may not fall on your laps unless you engage in a divine fight.
  9. ‘Pursue, for thou shall surely overtake them, and without fail recover all’- verse 8. God words are true. God is faithful. God does not lie, He does not fail, and He is sure. Just as God promised, God recovered all as stated later in verse 18 and 19 of this passage. If God has promised you, hold on to His promises in faith, they shall surely come to pass in Jesus name.david recovered all
  10. ‘But David pursued’ – verse 10. God told David to pursue. David obeyed and pursued. Therefore obedience to divine instruction, when it looks irrational is also another principle of divine restoration. What has the Holy Spirit told you to do that you have refused to do out of fear or procrastination? You miracle is in obedience.
  11. ‘And they found an Egyptian in the field, and they brought him to David’- verse 11. God has positioned someone to guide you out of your problems, as you take steps, your divine helpers will manifest in Jesus name. David never knew the way the Amalekites went. He never knew their route. He simply pursued out of blind obedience. Then help came from heaven. He met an abandoned slave from the camp of the enemy who showed him the way. Help is on your way as you take steps to come out of your crises. God shall show you the way, when there seems to be no way.
  12. ‘And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs’ – verse 12. Be nice to strangers, as your deliverance may be wrought through them. David’s camp never knew who the Egyptian abandoned in the field was, and yet they treated him nicely. Several other people might have passed by him, thinking he is an unnecessary distraction and nuisance. Alas, he held the key to the way forward in David pursuit of his enemies. Your love for your neighbors and strangers may determine your deliverance.
  13. ‘I am a young man of Egypt, servant of an Amalekite, and my master left me because there days agone I fell sick– verse 13. That was the mistake of the enemies of David, which turned to be their nemesis. As the abandoned stranger led David to the camp of his enemies. Your enemies will always make a mistake that will lead to their downfall. Stop weeping. Pray to God to open your eyes to see the mistakes of your enemies.
  14. ‘And David recovered all’ –verse 18. David recovered all the enemies stole from him. You can recover all if you follow the principles of David. You can recover your marital joy, your job, finances, health, and most importantly your salvation in Jesus name.

New Year sermon: O God, give me a new glory!

Genesis 27 vs 35-40

35 But Isaac said, “Your brother was here, and he tricked me. He has taken away your blessing.”

36 Esau exclaimed, “No wonder his name is Jacob, for now he has cheated me twice. [a] First he took my rights as the firstborn, and now he has stolen my blessing. Oh, haven’t you saved even one blessing for me?”

37 Isaac said to Esau, “I have made Jacob your master and have declared that all his brothers will be his servants. I have guaranteed him an abundance of grain and wine—what is left for me to give you, my son?”

38 Esau pleaded, “But do you have only one blessing? Oh my father, bless me, too!” Then Esau broke down and wept. 39 Finally, his father, Isaac, said to him, “You will live away from the richness of the earth,    and away from the dew of the heaven above.40 You will live by your sword,     and you will serve your brother. But when you decide to break free,    you will shake his yoke from your neck.”

  1. The story of how Jacob deceitfully took the blessings of Esau, the first son of Isaac has been told and retold as one of the classic stories of all times.
  2. The Holy Spirit wishes to minister to us through this story once more, and it is from this, that I am bringing out the new year message for 2015 titled: ‘O God of Esau, give me a new glory’
  3. We need to read and meditate on the two passages above in order to clearly and fully comprehend the import of this message.
  4. We see Esau in Genesis 27 vs 38 discouraged, disillusioned, angry, confused, depressed, hopeless, dejected, and sad. More importantly he was weeping thinking all hope for him to become a blessed man, to become a great man is lost.
  5. Why was Esau weeping, it was simply because of the following ‘curses’.
  • First, Jacob took away his blessings.
  • Second, Isaac made Jacob the Master of Esau or in another way Isaac declared that Esau would be a servant to Jacob.
  • Third, Isaac said Jacob would be the one out of the two brothers that would become prosperous
  1. This was too much for Esau to bear, and he pleaded with his father to give him just one blessing- Genesis 27 vs 38.
  2. Rather than blessed Esau, Isaac made the matter worst, by issuing four additional curses, the fourth being a reinforcement of an earlier curse.
  • The fourth curse placed upon Esau was that he would live in a dry, unproductive and unprofitable land away from the richness of the earth- Genesis 27 vs 39.
  • The fifth curse on Esau was than even the heavens would refuse to favour him, as he would live away from the dew of the heaven above- Genesis 27 vs 39.
  • The sixth curse on Esau was that he would not achieve anything easily. He would need to struggle and fight before he could achieve anything. Grace, mercy and favour were not his portion. Unless he decided to be violent and aggressive, he would not achieve anything in life- Genesis 27 vs 40: You will live by your sword.
  • The seventh curse on Esau was that in spite of all his struggles and hard work, he would still live as a slave to his   younger brother- Genesis 27 vs 40: and you will serve your brother.
  1. Isaac ended these curses by giving Esau a little space to maneuver, a little grace to change his fortunes, and a little condition that may redeem him from this fatherly curses. Genesis 27 vs 40: But when you decide to break free, you will shake his yoke from your neck.”
  2. What does this mean? It means that Esau could decide to break these seven curses, anytime, every right there and then when Isaac was pronouncing it.
  3. It means Esau could decide to break the yoke of slavery and oppression. It means Esau had the power to throw away the burden of his brother Jacob. It means the story of Esau would change for good, ‘when’ anytime he says enough is enough. It means the oppression, servitude, failures, and stagnancy of Esau would come to an end ‘when’ he becomes tired of his position.
  4. The most important question we need to ask here is that what did Esau need to do to realize the prophecy of Genesis 27 vs 40: But when you decide to break free, you will shake his yoke from your neck?
  5. The answer could be found in Genesis 27 vs 40:  You will live by your sword.  Esau’s slavery would come to an end immediately he used his sword to break free….shake his yoke from your neck-Genesis 27 vs 40.
  6. In one breath, Isaac placed seven curses on Esau his first born; in another breath, he gave him the sword to break the curses.
  7. In one breath, Isaac made his younger son, Jacob, the master of his firstborn- Esau. In another breath, he gave Esau a sword to throw off the lordship of Jacob, and reclaim his position and blessing as the first born, whenever he is tired of serving his younger brother
  8. In one breath, Isaac pronounced Esau the slave of Jacob. In another breath, he gave Esau the sword to fight and defeat his brother and throw off his oppression.
  9. Herein  lies the secret key to the prosperity and future of Esau, he needed to fight with the sword to deliver himself from family and ancestral curses. What happened in later years?
  10. Did he serve his younger brother throughout his life, as he was cursed? No he didn’t.
  11. Did he lived lamenting the curses placed in him? No, he didn’t
  12. Did Esau took Isaac’s advice? Yes he did
  13. Did he used to sword to break free….shake his yoke from your neck-Genesis 27 vs 40.  Yes, he did
  14. Did he change his history by fighting to repossess his birthright? Yes, he did.

Genesis 32 vs -37:Then Jacob sent messengers ahead to his brother, Esau, who was living in the region of Seir in the land of Edom. He told them, “Give this message to my master Esau: ‘Humble greetings from your servant Jacob. Until now I have been living with Uncle Laban, and now I own cattle, donkeys, flocks of sheep and goats, and many servants, both men and women. I have sent these messengers to inform my lord of my coming, hoping that you will be friendly to me.’”

After delivering the message, the messengers returned to Jacob and reported, “We met your brother, Esau, and he is already on his way to meet you—with an army of 400 men!” Jacob was terrified at the news.

  1. The above passage shows clearly that Esau changed his misfortune by the sword. Twenty one years later, Jacob who had fled away from the anger of his brother, decided to return to his father’s house. Jacob was coming back a prosperous man, and announced his arrival by the many cattle, donkeys, flocks of sheep, and goats he owned. Probably he still thought his brother was still languishing under the ‘curses’ of Isaac. He sent gifts to his brother, but alas he was ‘terrified’ to learn that his brother Esau, was also very prosperous, had an army of 400 men who were his Personal guards and Assistants!

Genesis 33: Then Jacob looked up and saw Esau coming with his 400 men. So he divided the children among Leah, Rachel, and his two servant wives. He put the servant wives and their children at the front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph last. Then Jacob went on ahead. As he approached his brother, he bowed to the ground seven times before him.

  1. This was not the end of the story. Isaac cursed Esau that he would serve his younger brother. But, Esau reversed this curse. Otherwise, when Jacob came back, he would have met Esau in poverty, Esau would have been pleased to accept Jacob’s gift. On Jacob’s return, Esau had broken the yoke of servitude, and Jacob met a prosperous man. As a matter of fact, Jacob bowed down to Esau (who was supposed to be his servant) seven times! This is symbolically prophetic. Isaac had cursed Esau seven times, making Jacob the lord of Esau. Now, we see Jacob bowing down for Esau on the ground seven times. Each of these bowing down, broke the curse of lordship of Jacob over Esau.
  2. Are you presently discouraged, disillusioned, angry, confused, depressed, hopeless, dejected, and sad just like Esau in Genesis 27 vs 38 when his blessings were stolen? Then you can learn several lessons  from this scriptures.
  3. Stop lamenting about your situation and past losses.
  4. Stop weeping and crying about your stolen blessings.
  5. Don’t be bothered if your peers have overtaken you. Pursue, overtake and recover all.
  6. Curses can be broken.
  7. Any spoken word contrary to the word of God in your life shall not stand.
  8. Ancestral, generational, and family curses are still operating in your life because you have refused to break them.
  9. You need to reverse every evil family pattern in your life.
  10. You need a sword of heaven to fight the battles of your life.
  11. Unless you fight like Esau against your contrary situation, you cannot win. Unless you fight you cannot recover. Unless you fight, you cannot reclaim your lost glory.
  12. You have a sword in your hand, which is the word of God. Use it to fight in prayers and fasting to regain your glory.
  13. If you fight, the terror of God shall fall upon your adversaries.
  14. If you fight, those who stole your glory shall fall before you in Jesus name
  15. Those who ran away with your glory shall come back falling before you.
  16. Esau broke the curses over his head, you took can break every evil situation in your life.
  17. Esau threw off the burden of his brother, you too should rise up and throw off every burden of slavery.
  18. Esau broke the yoke of Jacob on his blessings, you too can fight and break every evil stronghold on your life, and reclaim your glory.
  19. Esau’s glory was stolen, but instead of lamenting over his loses, he asked for a new glory. You need to ask for a new glory this year in Jesus name.
  20. Esau recover his stolen glory. Forget your past failures, you need to fight and recover your glory this year.
  21. You need to pray right now like this: O God of Israel, give me a new glory this year in Jesus name.

Bible on dealing with the strongman: enemies of breakthroughs

Posted on

For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.-Jeremiah 31 vs 11download (9)

  1. Strongmen are spiritual powers of wickedness assigned against personalities, families, businesses, environment, towns, nations, and territories.
  2. There is a strongman contending with your breakthroughs, and you need to realise this in order to contend and overcome the strongman.
  3. It is possible that this Strongman is stronger than you.
  4. Your breakthroughs will not manifest, unless you deal with your strongman.
  5. In the case of Jacob, he was enslaved for 21 years, until God ransomed him from the hands of his family strongman.
  6. Now is the time to arise and behead your strongman.
  7. It starts by living a life of holiness, studying the word, fasting, and praying intensely,

  1. I attack and behead the Strongmen of my life in Jesus name

Bible prophecy and 2015 New Year Predictions

2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy

  1. The beginning of a new year is often the period several people are interested in predictions and prophecies.
  2. People want to know their fortunes in the year.
  3. Prophets, fortune tellers, and soothsayers are therefore in high demand this season.
  4. But the Bible tells us that the word of God is prophetic. What the word of God says about your life, is all the prophecies you need for the year.new year predictions
  5. It means you dont need a prophet. You are your own prophet. All you  need to do is to study and meditate on what the word of God says about your health, prosperity, protection, divine provision, help etc and pray prophetically on it.
  6. I know the word of God says in Job 36 vs 12 that for those who obey and trust the Lord, they shall spend their days in pleasures, and their years in prosperity.
  7. As you obey His commandments and trust in Him, my prophecy is that you will spend this year in pleasures and prosperity in Jesus name.
  8. You can predict your future by the extend of your obedience to the word of God. With the word of God, you can also prophecy to your future, and it shall surely come to pass in Jesus name.

New year prayers: womb of this year, vomit my blessings!

Posted on Updated on

Shall I bring to birth and not cause to bring forth?” saith the Lord. “Shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb?” saith thy God.- Isaiah 66 vs 9

  1. This scripture is a prophetic message for this new year.download (5)
  2. It would work for you, if you meditate on it, believe it, internalise, it and stand on it.
  3. The key works in this scripture are; ‘bring to birth’, bring forth’, and ‘shut the womb’.
  4. God is the creator of times and seasons, as such He is the person that brings to birth the new year.
  5. But all of us have entered the new year, and we are expecting the new year to bring forth blessings.
  6. The scripture is always telling us, that even after God brings forth the year, and its blessings, it is possible for the year to shut up his womb, it is possible for the womb of the year to refuse to release its blessings.
  7. The spirit of God is telling us again that, God will not allow the enemy to shut the womb of the new year. He shall cause it to open its womb and release your blessings.
  8. In summary, God that has brought to birth a new year, will bring forth your blessings, and cause every shut womb of your breakthroughs to give birth to your new year expectations in Jesus name
  9. The year shall vomit your blessings in Jesus name

New Year message: How to succeed in bussiness

Posted on

  1.  The Holy Spirit gave me a new insight into this scripture- Isaiah 30 vs 31 a couple of days ago.
  2. We all know what waiting on the Lord is, and this has been widely interpreted to mean fasting and prayer.
  3. But we dont seem to be aware of what waiting on the Lord could in line with Bible principles.
  4. The scripture says, after waiting on the Lord, four things shall happen- renewal of strength, flying on wings like Eagles, running without getting wearied, and walking without getting tired.
  5. Lets examine them one by one.
  6. Renewal of strength- After you have waited on the Lord, you will be able to achieve what you normally have not been able to achieve. You will have strength to overcome obstacles. You will be refreshed and be able to shout- Give me this mountain!
  7. Flying on Wings like Eagles– This is the  most profound interpretation I received is on this scripture. Almost everyone walks, only few fly. The multitude walk, but champions fly. The crowd is on the ground, but the champions are in the air. You need to fly above the crowd on the ground to become a champion. Most people cannot fly, because they never possess the power to fly. But once you wait on the Lord, the power to fly falls on you. Waiting on the Lord is like recharging your spiritual battery, and once you are able to fly…then your breakthrough is endless. Are you tired on walking with the crowd on the land and want to fly like an eagle above the multitude? Then wait on the Lord.
  8. Running without getting wearied– A lot of us are frustrated because we cant make a success of our ideas. But once you start waiting on the Lord from time to time, He will give you wisdom to run with your vision continuously and overcome all obstacles that may hinder your successes.
  9. Walking without fainting- The enemy is always around to waste and terminate peoples destiny prematurely. But once you wait on the Lord, you shall walk with Him in pleasures and prosperity till a good old age; and not dropped off or down when you Sun is shinning.
  10. The summary of this message is that, the path to success this year is waiting on the Lord continuously. You could not fly last year, because your food was your god. Wait on the Lord this year to fly high like an Eagle.

Encourage yourself: David encouraged himself in the Lord

Posted on

1 Samuel 30 vs 6: David encouraged himself in the Lord his God

  1. There are times when we lose the motivation to aspire for excellence.
  2. There are times when we feel we may not succeed in life.
  3. There are times when those who surround you are discouraging you, humiliating you, instead of giving you an inspiration.
  4. There are times when we feel like giving up.
  5. There are times when we pay dearly for mistakes committed in the past.
  6. There are times when we regard ourselves as failures.
  7. There are times we feel that there is no reward for righteousness.
  8. There are times when we are tired of praying and start to doubt the efficacy of prayers.
  9. There are times when we even start to doubt the reality of God
  10. There are times when we feel discouraged, when we are discouraged, and lack the courage to take the next steps in life.

If you are in such a situation as described above, you need to learn from the story of David who was in a similar situation. David was able to overcome his hopelessness, because he encouraged himself when people around him were thinking of stoning. Have you lost all and you are thinking of giving up. Dont give up because God has not given up on you. Encourage yourself in the Lord, and as you pursue, you shall recover your all in Jesus name.

1 Samuel 30 vs 1-6

And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way. So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives. Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. And David’s two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God..
