1 Corinthians 15 verse 33

33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

These days, Valentine’s Day brings to the hearts of people, sexual thoughts, memories, and imaginations. Saint Valentine’s Day has been debased and has been turned into a day for illicit sexual activity especially among singles. Here are simple rules for singles to ensure they are caught off guard on Valentine’s Day.

  1. Mostly likely your friend is hoping to take you to bed on Valentine’s Day. Discuss this with him and resolve that both of you will not indulge in any ungodly activity today and thereafter.
  2. There is much fun and sex in the air on Valentine’s Day. Therefore, it is better you ensure you are not alone in lonely places with an opposite sex, as expression of love would likely turn into both of you satisfying your lustful desires.
  3. Watch out for date raping. Do not go out with anyone you do not trust, and if you must go out with a single watch where you go.
  4. Avoid environments that promote ungodliness. This includes night clubs, discos, and sex shows.
  5. The best place to spend Valentine’s Day is the presence of God. God is the greatest Valentine who gave us his only begotten son for our salvation. Arrange to be in the presence of God- either Church or fellowship and thank God for his love on you.
  6. If you do not have anyone as a Valentine, remember God is the greatest Valentine you can ever have. He is the greatest lover. Pour you love on him, with songs of thanksgiving.
