Bible Story on Betrayal of Judas Iscariot

                                                                                                Judas Iscariot

At times like this when we are remembering the cruxification of Jesus Christ on the cross, it is good to remind ourselves of the sufferings, agonies, torture, pain and humiliation he went through to fulfill this ministry.

John 18 vs. 3: 1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.

2 And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. 3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons

Jesus Christ suffered emotional wreckage on the way to the cross because he was betrayed by his close aid and friend-Judas Iscariot. A man he had dined and wined with and trusted so much that he was given charge of keeping the purse.

If you have been betrayed by some you trusted or a person close to you, then you should also have the forgiving spirit of Jesus, who still called Judas a friend when he came to give him away with a kiss.
