Christian sermon: Reasons for unanswered prayer

Matthew 37 vs.46 – And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

  1. Quite often at times, we often found ourselves in situation that seems God does not hear our prayers. No matter how much we prayed, fasted or worshipped.
  2. In this case, even Jesus Christ complained that God has forsaken Him.
  3. Those observing Him were also mocking. “He trusted in God, let Him deliver Him now” (vs. 43).
  4. In such situation, God expects us to be still and He will manifests Himself as the Lord.

Prayer

Power of God, visit my troubles in Jesus name.

  1. There is a typo in the Scripture ; It is matthew 27:46 and not Matthew 37. Thanks a lot for all the info. God bless you.
