Genesis 8 verse 1
And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged.
- God remembered Noah, which means God we need to keep God in remembrance of His promises for us, particularly when those promises are covenanted.
- A few days ago, I ran out of cash and as I sat in the compound of my house, I said in my heart in my Yoruba language ‘Olorun kin se bi a se so leyi’ meaning God this was not what we discussed.
- I said a simple prayer to God in my heart, reminding God of his promise to me in 2001, that before my money finishes, He will always provide another one.
- To my pleasant surprise, the following day an unknown person sent some offerings to me from the Republic of Benin, a country where I did not know anyone.
- If I have not reminded God of His promise, God would not have touched the person’s heart to provide for me.
- So, we need to remind God of His promises to us.
- As this year is going o an end, God will remember you in Jesus’ name. Amen
