Commentary on Matthew 26: Love of money, root of all evil

By Babatope Babalobi +2348035897435 babalobi@yahoo.com

Matthew 26 vs. 15 – and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty silver coins

 Image result

  1. Judas betrayed his master Jesus for thirty pieces of Silver.
  2. Judas covenanted with the enemies of Jesus because he was greedy for a monetary reward.
  3. Judas destroyed his destiny because of love for money.
  4. Several Christians are still falling to the error of Judas. They are asking the same question?
  • What will you give me, if I sleep with you?
  • What will you give me, if I give you that Job?
  • What will you give me, if I give you that contract?
  • What will you give me, if I help you to pass that examination?
  • What will you give me, if I approve your documents/papers?
  • What will you give me, if I give your child admission to college?
  • What will you give me, if I approve your promotion?
  • What will you give me, if I forge papers/documents for you?
  • What will you give me, if I enter into a contract marriage with you?
  • What will you give me, if I bear false witnesses/tell lies against your opponents?
  • What will you give, if I award underserved marks for you?
  • What will you give me if I will pray for you?
  • What will you give for bending rules to benefit you?

Sermon: Love of money root of all evils

Posted on

1 Timothy 6 vs 6-11

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

What lessons can we learn from this scriptures?

  1. Success is knowing Christ. A successful man is the one that lives in holiness and is contended with what he has. (vs 6)
  2. Life without Christ is vain. All the wealth, status, positions, and money you are struggling to acquire, you will leave all behind the day you die. (vs7)
  3. Human needs are few. Once you have food to eat, clothes to wear, and a house to stay you should be happy and contended. (vs8)
  4. Love of money leads to sin. The desire to become rich leads people into sin (vs9).
  5. Love of money is a trap. Many fall into it as they struggle to possess it (vs9)
  6. Fools love money, Wiseman love Jesus (vs9).
  7. The love for money ends in bitterness of the soul, body and spirit (vs9)
  8. The love for money leads to destruction. (vs9)
  9. The love of money is the spirit of anti-Christ (vs9).
  10. All evils are caused by the love of money (vs10).
  11. Greed for money causes Christians to backslide. (vs10).
  12. The love for money ends in sorrows.
  13. Flee from greed, flee from the love for money.
  14. Run after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.

New month prayer points for financial brealthroughs: This month shall vomit my riches

Posted on

Job 20 vs 15: He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.

  1. The riches and blessings of a lot of people are buried in the land, and waters by dark powers.
  2. But the Lord is ready to command those dark powers to vomit the blessings today in Jesus nameriches money making
  3. As we enter into a new month, all your blessings for this year shall be vomited in Jesus name
  4. I speak to this month to vomit your blessings, I speak to this month to vomit your prosperity, I speak to this month to vomit your accumulated and delayed miracles for the whole year, I speak to this month to open its mouth and vomit your riches in Jesus name.
  5. The first step to achieve financial deliverance-  is to surrender your life totally to Jesus Christ. He says in Exodus 3 vs 7 that He is ready to deliver if only you can deliver your life from sin.
  6. Unless you become born again this prayers will not work for you, for the prayers of a sinner are an abomination to God.
  7. Bow down now, confess your sins, and invite Jesus Christ into your life as personal Lord and Saviour.

How do I become famous and succesful?

Posted on

Joshua 1 vs 8

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

What is Success?

  1. Joshua 1 vs 8 contains the Biblical principles of success.
  2. The verse also differentiates between ‘success‘ and ‘good success’.
  3.  ‘Success’ is  making it in the eyes of the world. The common evidence of success in the secular world is having money, being in a high position, and being a Very Important Personality (VIP).
  4. Whereas ‘Good Success’ is first and foremost knowing you are created by God, you are on earth for a purpose, and you have a heavenly goal. It is accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, serving Him, and allowing the spirit of God to direct your life, and trusting in Him to meet your needs.
  5. Success in the eyes of the world will give you a marriage. Good success based on the scriptures, will give you a marriage and a happy home
  6. Success in the eyes of the world will give you children. Good success based on scriptures, will give you godly children not vagabonds.
  7. Success in the eyes of the world will give you material possessions and  temporal comfort. Success based on the bible give you peace and contentment for the much you have.
  8. Success in the eyes of the world will give you more than enough money to purchase the best medical insurance. Good success will give you good health, and healing that money can not buy.
  9. Success in the eyes of the Lord will give you money to reinforce your personal security against harm and sudden death. Good success will give you divine protection and long life.
  10. Success in the eyes of the world will give you women, pleasures of illicit sex, and the challenges of polygamous marriage. Good success will bring happiness and contentment with your sole and only wife.
  11. Success in the eyes of the world will fastly take you to the top of the ladder at an early age, but crash from the top of the ladder by noon. Good success will take you step by step in the race of life, with your life shinning brighter and brighter and brighter, until you reach the top.
  12. Success in the eyes of the world will bring you many friends, some of whom may lead you to idolatry. Good success will make the Holy Spirit your only true friend.
  13. Success in the eyes of the world will put the world under your feet, with the power to enjoy what you like, but eventually take you to hell. Good success will train your hands to overcome the battles of your life, eventually give you rest from your enemies, and take you to heaven

Dont do any of these things inorder to  have success in the eyes of the world

  1. Make a covenant with Satan. Join any association to know people and make money. Join a cult
  2. Be dishonest and fraudulent
  3. Be greedy.
  4. Be a blackmailer.
  5. Be malicious and wicked.
  6. Do evil
  7. Love money, worship money, be ready to do anything to get women.
  8. Be restless, impatient, fast, crude, and ruthless
  9. Be exploitative
  10. Be an oppressor

How to have Good success according to the scriptures

  1. Love Jesus
  2. Fear God.
  3. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you. Make Him your best friend
  4. Read your Bible for divine instructions and principles for success. Let the Bible be your guide.
  5. Pray day and Night
  6. Fast to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and wade off evils.
  7. Be humble, meek, patient, and long suffering.
  8. Join a Church, serve God.
  9. Flee from sin like a plague, live in holiness.
  10. Be contented, dont murmur, dont complain, be thankful, and always worship God. Have self control.
  11. Be filled with the word of God.
  12. Be heaven focused.

Joshua 25 vs 14

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Holy Spirit, show me the path of good success in Jesus name

Sermon on how to stop worrying too much about money

Posted on Updated on

Memorise: “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” (Matt 6:34)Read: Matthew 6:31-34
moneyOne day, the Lord asked me, “of all fundamental issues in your life, how many of them did you choose by yourself?” I told Him, ‘Lord, I don’t understand. I think I have done a lot of choosing’. Then He asked, ‘Who chose your dad, mum, place of birth, height, complexion, etc.? Suddenly, you feel you have become grown up and want to choose all by yourself’.Then I realized I was charting the course of independence from the Most High God! The One who had laid the foundation of your life and has taken you this far, says He wants to complete what He started but you say, ‘I know you are God but step aside and let me handle my affairs myself’. That amounts to foolishness! Ephesians 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”.In other words, God is saying all your spiritual needs are provided for. It is a settled matter. Why then are you worrying about what to eat, drink, wear, where to school, and who to marry when Jesus promised that if only you can completely depend on Him all these shall be satisfied? (Matthew 6:33).

One problem with Africans is that no matter how wealthy a man is, he never stops acquiring more. Like Oliver Twist, he keeps asking for more money, more houses and estates, more cars and businesses. When asked why, he will say he is acquiring it for his children to inherit after his death. God opened my eyes one day to see the hollowness of such reasoning;

Your prayer should not be: ‘God, when I die, let my children inherit all I left behind’, but ‘Lord, prosper my children to the extent that they do not need anything I have acquired’. I do not want to die and my children will be dragging one another to court to fight over houses, land and other assets. I want them to thank God for my life but also thank God for prospering them too.

From scriptures, the Lord showed me that if my children will follow His footsteps and do His will, He will do far greater for them than He did for me. He showed me that Abraham was great, Isaac was greater but Jacob was exceedingly great. Why worry about what will happen to your children? If they follow Christ’s footsteps they will be greater than you. Just give them a solid foundation in Christ’s and a good education. These are part of your primary responsibilities.

Father, let my peak be the starting point for my children.

Easter messages: lessons from the character of Judas Iscariots

Posted on

betrayal of Jesus Judas iscariot

What lessons can we learn from the betrayal of Jesus by one of his disciples- Judas Iscariot? What does the story of Judas Iscariot tell us?

Read Mathew 26.

By Babatope Babalobi babalobi@yahoo.com +2348035897435

  1. Judas was privileged to be one of the twelve disciples that followed Jesus Christ around. He listened to his teaching and preaching’s, yet he was not converted. He betrayed Jesus without cause. The lesson here is that you can never satisfy the world. You can never satisfy your followers, no matter how good you are, there are some people that will hate you without reason.
  2. The love of money, greed, and covetousness remains the root of all evils. Judas received 30 shekels as a reward of his betrayal. If Judas was not promised a monetary reward, if was unlikely he would have agreed to betray Jesus. Be careful how you make money. Run from every filthy lucre.
  3. Another lesson is that you should expect to have a Judas around you. There is popular saying that there is a Judas among every 12 of your disciples or assistants. Watch out for the Judas in your midst and beware of Judases.
  4. Another lesson from the story of Judas is that your enemy is within your household. Your greatest enemies are within your household, within your offices, businesses, and ministries. Jesus was not betrayed by an outsider, but by one of his personal assistants.
  5. Another lesson is that if you are in the spirit and walking with God, He will always reveal the future to you, He will reveal the plans of your enemies, and the conspiracies against you. Jesus perfectly knew Judas was planning and going to betray him, because this has been revealed to him by the spirit. However, he could not resist it because he had to fulfil his destiny.
  6. Another lessons, is that the kiss of the enemy is poison. Judas kissed Jesus to identify him to the accusers/enemies. When you enemies kiss you, know surely he has poisoned you. Therefore it is better to avoid the kiss of the enemy. Don’t negotiate or become friendly with the enemy in order to avoid an evil kiss.
  7. Another lesson is that you should not be bitter or vengeful against your perceived enemies. Jesus still called Judas my friend, and embraced him, when he came with a band of people with swords. Vengeance belongs to God and leave the battles to God.
  8. The last lesson and the most important lesson is that the wages of sin is death. Judas returned back to the elders, the blood money he took to betray Jesus; and he hanged himself. Evil breeds sorrow and grief, and Judas did not leave to fulfil his destiny
  9. Another lesson is that those planning evil with you will not stand with you when the evil backfires. The elders and fellow conspirators that planned evils with Judas and bribed him with 30 shekels refused to take the money back after he became remorseful. They described the 30 shekels that Judas as blood money and refused to return it into the treasury.
  10. The final lesson is that Judas missed a glorious destiny that awaited him because the lure of money, he missed and sold his glory for 30 shekels of silver. All the other eleven disciples later on went to fulfil destiny and became saints. If Judas had not betrayed Judas, perhaps we could have a church named ‘Saint Judas Church’, later on such as we have churches named after Saint Paul, Saint John, and the others.

Bible scriptures on money making and riches: I want to be very rich quick!

Posted on

It is the will of God for his children to make money and to be very rich. But we need to apply scriptural principles to money making and getting riches

The Bible clearly wants in Proverbs 20 vs 30:  An inheritance gained hastily at the beginning Will not be blessed at the end.

  1. If you wish to make heaven, you cannot afford to make money in a sharp and crooked way the people of the world make money in offices and businesses.
  2. Do you want riches? Do you want to be rich?  Be careful as the love for money may cause your to commit blunders that may cost you your salvation.
  3. Make sure you can legally and legitimately account for the source of every money you make, otherwise you may become rich financial but poor spiritually.
  4. Only true riches through handwork  and diligence with the favour of God brings the blessing of long life, peace, joy, and eternal salvation.

Sermon and Prayers: How to become a rich man overnight

Posted on Updated on

John 21 vs. 3 – 6Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

1.     Peter and his friends labored all night looking for fish, but they caught nothing.

2.     Jesus stepped in, and on his instruction Peter and his friends threw the net into the sea again, and they caught a multitude of fishes, too much for them to pack.

3.     If Jesus steps into your business, you can become rich overnight.

4.     However, you must also first step into the Lord’s business of soul winning before Jesus can step into your business.

5.     Do the work of an evangelist today, and you will become rich overnight with souls of men and even financial prosperity.

Prayer

·       Holy Spirit make me a soul winner in Jesus name

Bible sermon: Why Christians are poor

Posted on Updated on

John 21 vs. 3  Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

1.     There are some general causes of poverty such as poor education, low skills, natural disasters, poor political governance, laziness, and in some cases geographical location.

2.     But they are also spiritual causes of prosperity, and Christians no matter where they are on the face of the earth are supposed to be shining examples of divine prosperity. However. The reverse is the often the case. Christians may be poor because of the following reasons:

·       They have abandoned the work of God for the work of flesh, chasing after things of the world rather than things of the flesh.

·       Like Peter, they have abandoned soul winning and evangelism. Fishing for money rather than fishing for souls first.

·       They put their personal business first, the God second or last.

·       They have forgotten that God is He that gives power to make wealth, not by power not might.

Prayer

·       Holy Spirit deliver me from profitless hard work in Jesus name

·       I receive the spirit of an evangelist in Jesus name

I need divine intervention

Posted on Updated on

There is no man that does not have any problem; the only difference is that our problem differs in dimension and magnitude. Whether you are young or old, poor or rich, male or female, black or white, single or married, working or retired…there is a specific problem bothering you today.

A problem you are thinking of, crisis is bothering you, a clog that you are anxious about, and a difficulty that you like to resolve.

Life is full of problems, and in most cases we are to solve many of these problems with our human efforts. Unfortunately, there there are some problems that have refused to go away in spite of all our attempts to resolve them.

Right now as you are reading this messsage, some problems have stuck with you in spite of all your efforts to resolve it. There is a problem that is peculiar to you and at times you have asked why me?

The problem may be marital crises, barrenness, financial need, sickness, or habitual vices like smoking, drunkenness or sexual perversion.

It is possible that you are still exploring means of overcoming this problem, and it is also possible that you have given up on this problem. In the extreme, it is also possible that you are considering committing suicide because of your inability to resolve this problem.

It does not matter how highly or lowly placed you are, problems are bound to occur. The Bible has this story that Peter, one of the disciples of Jesus was once faced with a common problem.

Peter and his Master- Jesus Christ were accused by the Tax collectors of defaulting in the payment of the Temple tax. The Tax collectors accosted Peter asking when he had not paid the temple tax and demanded for the money.

Unnfortunately Peter did not have any money on him to make this payment.. Peter found himself in an embarrasing situation that could land him in jail. What did Peter do to solve this financial problem? He ran to Jesus who coicidentally did not also have any money on him, but was miraculously able to provide the needed funds through a fish!:

“After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma tax came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax]? Yes, he does,” he replied. When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked.

From who do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own sons or from others? From others, Peter answered. Then the sons are exempt, Jesus said to him. But so that we may not offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.” –Mathew 17:24-26

Who do you run to when you have a problem? To whom do you look for help to overcome the daily pressures and problems of life.

Most of us are have been unable to overcome our problems because we are looking for solution from wrong sources- parents, friends, relations, associations, or diviners. King David is one man who clearly understand that the Sovereign Lord is the only person that can help us overcome our problems:

“I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” –Psalm 121:1-2

Look unto the hills today instead of looking down to the valleys of life. Look unto your Maker today instead of looking up onto human beings who are all made by God. The simple story of Peter and the Tax collector narrated above clearly brings our several lessons.

1. God is the only person that can help you.

2. There is no need that the Lord cannot meet or rather there is no problem that He cannot solve. Who could have thought that money can be gotten from the mouth to fish lying in the lake?

3. God is with you in your problem and waiting for you to call on him. If Peter had not called unto Jesus the tax collectors would have arrested him.

4. The sooner you realize the presence of God in your problem the sooner you get out of the problem.

5. If you are in problem, create time for God and hand over the problem to him. On sighting Jesus, Peter immediately handed the problem of the tax payment to Jesus, the Bible says immediately he saw Jesus he was the first person to speak.

The problem with most of us is not our problems. The problem with most of us is that we refuse to see Jesus in our problems.

6. Listen to the Holy Spirit and be obedient. Peter carefully carried out the instruction of the Holy Spirit and received a solution. At times the divine instruction to solve our problems, may look ridiculous and unthinkable.

Just carry it out faithfully. Peter behaved like a child and followed the instruction of Jesus. Pride and arrogance may at times hinder you from getting the solution to your problems.

7. The solution to your problems begins immediately you carry out the divine instruction. Peter did not spend hours at the lake before the hook caught the fish that solved his problem.

Today, if only you can look unto God the problem solver, you need not continue in that problem of life. If you can look unto hills, true help will come that will wipe your tears away. Are you willing to lift your eyes unto the hills today?

The first step you need to take before God can intervene in your problems is that you have to surrender your life to him. God in most cases does not help those that do not recognize him as God. If you believe that by your strength you cannot not prevail against the problems of life, and want to call upon Jesus to help you today, then say this confessional prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory. I genuinely repent from all my sins and pledge to go and sin no more. I accept the fact that I cannot by my power solve the problems of life.

I lift my eyes to you today as my problem solver. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I commit my life to you, let your Holy Spirit lead my life and believe my future is secure in your hands in Jesus name.

Loving the world and the word of God

Posted on Updated on

strong>1 John 2 vs. 15-17:“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever”

ho do you love? Or whom do you set your affection? God or mammon? The Father or the devil?  Earthly things or heavenly things?  Do you love your Creator or the things He has created? Or better still do you love the things of this world more than God. The Bible says you cannot serve both God and Satan at the same time.

The world is full of various attractions- glamour, movies, money, position, power, fun, pleasures, and many more. The common denominator for all these attractions is that they are driven by the love of money and material acquisition. The Bible clearly preaches that the love of money is the root of all evils.

While we need money for our basic necessities and we should strive to have it to stay out of poverty and want, the compulsive desire to acquire material acquisition   is evil.

In the passage quoted above in John2 vs.15-17, the Bible identifies three categories of love or lusts of worldly things. The first is the lust of the flesh; second, lusts of the eyes; and third, pride.

The lusts of the flesh refer to in ordinate desires after some worldly things just in order to satisfy our carnal desires. Examples of this include drunkenness, smoking, gluttony, and all forms of sexual perversion (fornication, adultery, homosexuality, Lesbianism).

Lust of the eyes is basically Covetousness (an inordinate desire to acquire various kinds of materials), but also includes the lusts for women. If you spend too much time watching movies, televisions programmes, cable televisions shows, or on aimless Internet browsing (in chat rooms, or visiting web sites) you are also guilty of the lusts of the eyes.

Pride refer to the grave for position, status, power, authority and influence. This may be political, spiritual, or professional. If you into politics merely for the sake of acquiring power and position and not to use political office to serve the people, they you are guilty of the lusts for Pride.

If you are a Christian Priest simply interested in acquiring titles, and not genuinely committed to flocking your sheep, then you are guilty of the lusts of the Pride. Also, if you’re just interested in holding a high office in your occupational or professional calling without a readiness to shoulder the responsibility of that position, you are guilty of the lusts of Pride.

Weigh yourself on a scale today, and consider your scales. Are you guilty of the lusts of the flesh, or eyes, or Pride? Judge yourself, and repent if you need to.

  • For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

  • If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”(1John 1:9)

Do you want to be reconciled with God, through Jesus the Lord and Saviour? Then say this simple prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory. I genuinely repent from all my sins and pledge to go and sin no more.  I accept your plan to reconcile mankind to you through Jesus Christ, who you sent in your name.

I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and died on the Cross to pay the penalty for my sins and redeem me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I pray that His blood washes my sins away. I invite the Holy Spirit to rule my Life. I am born again in Jesus name.

Sermon: How to overcome financial crisis

Posted on Updated on

Mathew 17:24-26

Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”

“I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD,the Maker of heaven and earth.” –Psalm 121:1-2

An individual can be blinded that to what can destroy him. The fellow can be blinded to good things that are coming towards him. In any way you have been blinded, the Lord will open the eyes of you mind in Jesus’ Name.

Another possibility here is being blinded to opportunities around you. Opportunities are the raw materials that must be processed in order to get to your ultimate destination. As long as you do not take advantage of the opportunities you have, you can never fulfill your destiny. Read the rest of this entry »

God and Poverty: Why am I poor?

Posted on Updated on

3 John 1:2 Beloved

Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers

Not all financial problems are caused by witches and wizards

If you are poor, your poverty may not be necessarily caused by witches and wizards

Some people come into poverty because they were not able to manage their finances wisely.

It takes skills to retain riches and wealth that God has given you in this world.

Financial education is going to help you to manage the wealth he has given you.

The Patriarchs in the Bible are men and women that had financial education.

How do you manage your company finances? Do you keep proper accounting records? Do you draw a line between your personal incomes and company income? Is your company accounts audited? Are there good financial guidelines in your company to ensure prudent management of funds?

Do you have a saving culture and investment conscious?

The days of manna falling from heaven are over. You need to get educated in money management to multiply the little that is coming into your hands.

• Husband and wife should come together and discuss financial issues. Plan together and trust God together.
• There is a known income and an unknown income. Known income is such as Salaries and expected revenues. Unknown income is donations, gifts, and contracts that you never expected.
• In most cases, the known income can only cover your running expenses and the unknown income can be substantial and can be used for capital projects.
• You should take steps as a family to strengthen your financial income. Do things that will increase your known income. If your known income is so small, pray that God increases it. Also look for ways of cutting costs.
• Don’t live alone by your known income, such as your salary of expected revenue.
• Stretch your faith for financial provision.

Habakkuk 2:4 – The Just Shall Live By Faith• Plan for your unknown income. Make a budget, list a number of scriptures that deals with divine provision and begin to trust God for this unknown income.

John 6:4-15

4Now the Passover, the festival of the Jews, was near. 5When he looked up and saw a large crowd coming towards him, Jesus said to Philip, ‘Where are we to buy bread for these people to eat?’

6He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he was going to do. 7Philip answered him, ‘Six months’ wages* would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little.’ 8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,

9‘There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people?’

10Jesus said, ‘Make the people sit down.’ Now there was a great deal of grass in the place; so they* sat down, about five thousand in all.

11Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted.

12When they were satisfied, he told his disciples, ‘Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing may be lost.

13So they gathered them up, and from the fragments of the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten, they filled twelve baskets.

14When the people saw the sign that he had done, they began to say, ‘This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world.’
