How to hear directly from God

Posted on Updated on

How to hear from God

  1. Be in a quiet place. God is not a Noisemaker, and you may not hear within the multitude of noises. Separate yourself in godly hotel or mountain.
  2. Praise God. Worship him quietly with hymns and songs. Don’t be in a hurry to end the worship. Make it qualitative. Afterwards as you lie down to sleep or rest, He will most likely speak to you.
  3. Request that He speaks to you. If you earnestly ask Him to speak to you, He will most certainly give you a word or revelation.
  4. Be sensitive. God does not speak through visions or revelations alone. He speaks through other Saints, through the Bible, or through the Church. He may send a message to you directly or indirectly through someone else. It may even be through a Television or Radio sermon.
  5. Be still in His presence. Don’t leave the altar of prayer in a hurry. Once you have asked in prayer, be expectant to receive an answer.
  6. He often speaks through dreams and visions. But don’t allow yourself to be deceived by the devil. Godly dreams are very short, biblical, positive, and straightforward. Satanic dreams are long, fearful, story like, and negative.
  7. Lastly, God can speak to you by remaining silence. If you don’t hear from God after you have done all this, then He has in a way answeImage result for hear from godred. Silence is an answer. It means you should be patient, or He does not approve of your plans, or He has answered you before but you stubbornly refused to take the answer, or your hands are unclean as such He can’t speak to you.
  8. However, if you are not his child, then you can’t possibly hear from Him. Would you decide to start a relationship with him today?

Sermon on the power of vision and godly dreams

Posted on

Memorise: “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” (Hab 2:3)

Read: Isaiah 43:10-13

Dreams can be a very strong motivating force that can see you through the difficulties of life. Never give up your dream. Has God shown you or promised you that it shall be well with you? Believe it and stick with it. It will surely come to pass. “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” (Habakkuk 2:3).Your dream will surely speak – that is, it shall materialize. But always remember God has an appointed time for the dream to manifest. You shall not die before the time of manifestation. Are you poor but God has told or shown you that you shall be rich? Hold on to it. It shall be fulfilled at God’s appointed time.

One thing God is interested in which will also determine the outcome of a dream in your life, is how you respond to dreams. What is your response to dreams? People react differently to dreams. Never fight against a God-given dream. Isaiah 43:13 says nobody can hinder God when He has made up His mind on an issue. In the Name of Jesus, the good plans God has for you and your family shall not be hindered.

Isaiah 45:9 says judgement is upon the one who fights against his Maker. Stop struggling with God. Those who fight against God’s dream always end up as victims of the dream (2 Kings 7:1-2). Also, never ignore your God-given dream. This is because, God does not like nonchalant, lukewarm or neutral people (Rev 3:15-18). According to 2 Kings 2:6-15, those who are neutral or stand on the fence concerning salient Kingdom matters, end up as servants.

Get committed. It takes commitment to reach the top or to reach your goal. It will amaze you that those who would fight your dream may be those you never expect. If you are not committed to that dream, and they hit you below the belt, you may see yourself giving up on your dream.

Every dream has its time of fulfilment. If your brother’s dream has come to pass, rejoice with him and look forward to your time. If you do not give up on your dream, your dream will not give up on you. Neither will God. Pray regularly on your dreams and offer God thanksgiving. Research to see what Bible characters did to provoke fulfilment of their dreams.

Be instrumental in causing the dreams of others to materialize and yours will materialize too!

Mark 10 vs. 51

And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.Bartimaeus

Bible story on the faith of Blind Bartimaeus:

Mark 10 vs. 46

And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out.

Bartimaeus was blind but he was a visionary.

Vision entails strategically planning for the future. Vision is setting out and achieving one’s objectives. Vision is not leaving everything to chance and luck, but taking steps to positively shape one’s destiny.Bartimeaus knew Jesus was coming to town and planned ahead to receive a miracle through him.

If he did not plan ahead he would have missed the miracle. I assumed that Bartimaues must had planned where to seat, what to say, how to react to the crowd, and what to request where eventually called upon by Jesus.

The miracle of Blind Bartimaeus reveals careful planning and execution of an action. In our individual lives we should devise a Plan to implement our visions.

Do you have a vision for your career or business? Think of one now, God has given you a brain and it is meant for strategic thinking and planning. Do you have a plan on how to achieve your objectives? Sit down and write out one now, as lack of plans leads to failures…

Blind Bartimaeus and Jesus in the Bible

 Mark 10 vs. 46-52

If you wish to successful in life,   you need to focus on Jesus and don’t allow yourself to be distracted. The world is hypocritical and inconsistent. The World follows the winning team and abandons losers.

There is a popular saying that failure is an orphan but success has many fathers. The crowd that welcomed Jesus to Jericho with shouts of Hosanna, also accompanied him to the Calvary with shouts of crucify himIf you follow what people are saying, you may not succeed. Follow the truth of Christ.

Follow what the Bible is saying. Stick to what the Holy Spirit is telling you to do and stubbornly ignore all distractions. The people that shouted Blind Bartimeaus down where he started to cry for divine attention are the same people that informed him to come forward for his miracle.

If Bartimeaues had listened to the world, he would had kept silent and missed his miracle.

He rather chooses to listen to the word, and kept crying to Jesus until he achieves his goal.

Focus on God. You cannot succeed by the standards of the world which keeps changing. Study the word of God and stand on the word rater than the world.

The Faith of Blind Bartimeaues

48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. 49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Blind Bartemaues was a man of violent faith. He had faith in Jesus that he could heal him.

He knew all that was required was for Jesus to stop and listen to him. He could not see Jesus physically, yet he saw him with his spiritual eyes. He was shouted down, yet he kept crying the more.

Bartemaues’s faith for healing increased when it seemed Jesus was not going to answer him!We must possess the faith of Blind Bartemaues. When it seems our prayers are not being answered, that is when we must increase our faith. Know whom you believe

Bartimaeus

Mark 10 vs. 46 : And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side beggingOpportunities do not come every day.

The Bible says there is a season for every thing and a time for every activity under heaven. If you miss an opportunity, you may never regain it.

Bartemaues would have died a blind man if he had not positioned himself for miracles. He knew Jesus was coming to town and sat by the Highway where he could get his attention. If he has sat on the corridor of a nearby house, it would have been more difficult for his voice to be heard or for Jesus to meet him.

Many of us are in the wrong positions that is
why we are not succeeding. Any website that is not on the first page of the search results of goggle.com for a particular keyword it is targeting will not attract traffic.

Many should be standing, but are sitting down. Many should be sitting, but are standing up. Position yourself for favour today! Ask yourself this simple question: what am doing, where am doing it and how am doing it…am I likely to get attention of my target customers.Did you locate your Business in the wrong area? Are you working in the wrong company?

Are you living in a wrong environment? Do an analysis of your positions today and determine whether it can give you the breakthrough you desire. You may need to change your positions.

Are you a member of a Bible believing Church where the power of the Holy Ghost is moving mightily or you are in dead church? You may need to change your church to move forward spiritually and materially. If a footballer does not position himself well, he will hit the ball over the bar, rather than inside the net.

Blind Bartemaues positioned himself on the highway where he would be seed by Jesus. Come out of obscurity. Position yourself today for a miracle.
