Memorise: “Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters” (Exodus 15:10)

Read: Exodus 15:1-11

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

In the above verse, we are told of five names and titles of our Lord Jesus Christ and each of them is not only power-packed, but also significant for His church on earth. He is called ‘Wonderful’.

This means full of wonders. The fact that He is called Wonderful means that we should expect lots of wonder, surprise-causing events from Him. Exodus 15:11 lends credence to this special name saying, “Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods?Image result

Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” Why is He called Wonderful? It is because He is the custodian of wonders – both pleasant and unpleasant, and gives them out to His friends, foes and demons as situation demands.

For instance at the Red Sea, He revealed Himself to both the Israelites and the Egyptians as the One full of wonders. He gave the former pleasant wonders by parting the Red Sea for them to escape from their enemies. It was in appreciation of this that the Israelites sang the song of Moses (Exodus 15:1-19).

On the other hand, the Egyptians got their dose of surprise – but a negative one this time. They saw the Red Sea open and they went after Israel. Their mouths were open as they saw what they never saw before, and were still looking when the sea covered them.

Unfortunately, many enemies of God never live to tell the story of their encounter with the Wonderful. Someone asked, What is a wonder? A wonder is an unexpected event that leaves your mouth wide open. The Yorubas call it Iyanu – (a wonder that leaves your mouth agape). When you encounter the Wonderful, you will not know when your mouth will open in surprise. If nothing has caused you to open your mouth without closing it, you are yet to know Him as the Wonderful.

Until He reveals Himself to you as the Wonderful, you cannot assess the surprise packages in His kitty that can truly overwhelm you. From today, ask Him to reveal Himself to you as the Wonderful. Situations in your life will only respond to Him as the Wonderful.

Ask that God would terminate the activities of false prophets and false churches in this nation.

Should a Christian marry an unbeliever?

God is the author of marriage. Marriage was originally designed to be one of the most beautiful relationships that could exist. But the fall of man into sin has produced several versions of marriages.

Today, all kinds of things happen in marriage because we have left God out of an institution He established. Couples choose to go ahead into marriage without consulting Heaven’s manual for marriages. No wonder things are not as were originally designed. The good news is that no matter how bad the situation might have been with your marriage or family, it can be brought back on line as you return to the basics. This season, the Lord will intervene in your family and give you a true home in Jesus’ Name.

In Genesis 24, Abraham had advanced in age when he arranged for his son Isaac to be married. He was very concerned about where his son’s wife would come from. He warned his chief servant – Eliezer not to take any of the daughters of Canaan even though he lived there. In verse four, he says, “But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac”.

And he made him to swear that he would do as instructed. Beloved, just as Abraham was concerned about where his son would marry from, so also is the Lord concerned about where your spouse would come from. It is clear from Abraham’s experience that there are places believers can marry from and those we cannot marry from. Believers are forbidden marriage to Canaanites – unbelievers.

Are you single and searching for a partner? God your Father is very concerned about it. In 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, He warns that you should not consider an unbeliever as your partner. It is spiritually suicidal to do so. If you are genuinely born again but you are in a relationship with an unbeliever or an unsaved churchgoer, break that relationship or you may regret it later.

The least a believer can do is to marry any fellow believer, but this is not good enough. God does not want you to be married to just any believer but the right one for you. Every believer has a right partner. Prayerfully wait on God for the fellow. Besides, God cares about every other aspect of your life. If you can lay all your cares and worries on Him, He will prove to you that He cares.

A believer with God’s gifts who sins will continue to manifest the gifts. If he repents, the Holy Spirit will continue from where He stopped. But if he does not repent, demons will take over the use of his gifts.

Memorise: “When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed” (Ecclesiastes 5:4)

Read: Ecclesiastes 5:4-6

vowBut be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22). To satisfy the deep longings of the King of kings, you must be a man of action. God is looking for doers, not hearers. During my early years as a believer, after hearing a sermon, I immediately practiced it.

When we were told in church that worldly music was not good for our spiritual growth, that very day we destroyed record albums of Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey and others in our apartment. If after hearing God’s Word with conviction and you agreed to do it but failed to do it that day, you will observe that by the following day, your commitment to doing it would have reduced. And as each day passes without doing it, so goes your resolve. If you leave it for one week without doing it, you may never do it.

Many of us have made some pledges at some point in time without fulfilling it because we have forgotten. If you forget, God does not. “When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed” (Ecc 5:4). Heaven takes record of all your vows. It is dangerous to be a vow debtor. God classes vow debtors and those who say there is no God as the same – fools. Pay your vows today. The way out is to pay your vow as soon as you can. No delays.

Another quality of those who would satisfy the deepest longing of the King of kings is that they must be single-minded. They must be people who know exactly what they want and make up their minds about it. Once a vow is made, there is no going back (Luke 9:62). This is why you must count the cost before taking any decision.

One thing however is that if you have taken the decision in favour of God’s Kingdom, He will help you through. You must not pursue several things at the same time. Be focused. Are you owing God? Think. If you are, immediately pay up. By paying your vows, you are telling God you are not a fool. Tell God you are not a fool by paying your vows.

As long as you fail to pay that vow debt, Heaven may withhold your blessings. One reason some believers are experiencing delays in certain areas of their lives is because they have failed to pay their debts. If you have forgotten, ask God to remind you.

Take stock of pending restitutions. Repent and go ahead and comply

I need the anointing of the Holy Spirit

Memorise: “It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments” (Ps 133:2)Read: Psalm 133:1-3
When Isaac prayed that God should release the dew of Heaven on Esau in Genesis 27:28, he was saying, ‘May you ever have rain in its season’. Deuteronomy 28:12 says, “The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow”. When God opens His treasure house to you, you become so blessed that nations will queue up to borrow from you. That shall be your portion this year in the mighty Name of Jesus.anointingRecently, I returned from a trip. A particular young girl was thrown into prison. Both the press and electronic media including the CNN were on her trail. This made me to ask what was special about the girl, afterall, many girls end up in prison daily without anyone making a fuss over it.

Then they told me she was the only daughter of the owner of a popular hotel chain, located in most countries of the world. Asking God to give you the dew of Heaven is another way of saying you will never lack rain, you will never know dryness again. Someone once said the level God had taken him to made it impossible for money to stop coming his way. When I asked him how, he said he had several houses dotted around the land. When the heavenly windows are open over you, you cannot stop the rain from falling.

Dew also stands for anointing. Psalm 133:1-3 compares the anointing with dew. The implications of the anointing are: It destroys yokes. This means there is no permanent bondage for the anointed.

Also, it acts like fire to burn ropes binding the anointed like the case of Samson. In Psalm 23:5, David said he was anointed in the presence of his enemies. The implication of this is that when the dew of Heaven falls upon you, and you begin to prosper, your enemies will be multiplied. Nobody wants to trouble the man with a fairly used bicycle or a man with one or two ordinary clothes.

But when people realize that the value of what you are wearing – your clothes, shoes and watch is enough to buy a house, you had better secure your house. However, if it is the dew of Heaven bringing your prosperity, no number of enemies can harm you.

Father, your blessings add no sorrow. As you prosper me exceedingly this year, equally deal with all the enemies that are negatively attracted to me                          By Pastor Enoch Adeboye

Memorise: “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matt 18:18)

And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word” (1 Kings 17:1). Heaven has windows which can be open or shut. If shut, there will be no rain. Rivers will begin to dry up and this will lead to famine and death. One way God judges is by shutting the windows of Heaven over the offender. In Amos 4:6- 9, God says He can open Heavenly windows for some and shut it over some. That means, while some are crying that things are too hard, others are feasting, celebrating and saying things could never be better. This year, the Lord will open the heavenly windows over you, your family, business, ministry, etc.Open Heavens Adeboye

Tithing is one medium of opening the heavenly windows (Mal 3:10). God’s anointed prophet can also open or close heavenly windows. This is one reason you must carefully relate with a genuine man of God.

Just one pronouncement is all Heaven is awaiting before deciding whether to open or shut the windows over the person, city or nation in question. Elijah used his delegated spiritual authority to shut heavenly windows over his land (1 Kings 17:1). While several people were dying of hunger, the widow of Zarephath was becoming fatter. This year, as people complain of hunger and lack, you will be celebrating abundance in Jesus’ Name.

Ultimately, God, the Owner of Heaven has the key of David to open or shut the Heavenly windows (Rev 3:7 ). Elijah exercised his authority and put the nation into famine just to get them to repent.

Do you know that as long as you remain in right standing with God, and please Him in all you do, you can shut the Heavenly windows temporarily over individuals, loved ones, cities and even nations just to compel them to accept the Lord Jesus Christ? This is one key believers have but many have not been using. It is high time some loved ones were compelled into the Kingdom of God by the application of the key of David. Take this step today and prayerfully follow it up. And the Kingdom of God shall be enlarged.

Let the windows of Heaven be shut over all my unsaved loved ones till they humbly turn their lives to Christ.

Easter messages: Jesus is risen

Posted on Updated on

Memorise: “And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD” (Ps 40:3)

Read: Psalm 40:1-3

There are vital lessons from the devotion of the women to the Lord Jesus Christ recorded in Matthew 28:1-7. First, it is possible to love supremely by remaining faithful to the one you love even after death. Also, the Lord always helps those who are determined to do His will. A look at the first verse says a new day was beginning. The first message from Easter is that it is going to be a new beginning. In the life of every child of God, Easter morning represents a new beginning. It ushers in a new song. In today’s reading, Psalmist David said he waited on God in his unpleasant and troubled situation and He heard him, changed his status and put a new song in his mouth. This Easter, the Lord will put a new song into your mouth in Jesus’ Name. Those who have been saying, ‘Our God is dead’ can now sing ‘He is alive’. The weak can now say, ‘I am strong’, the poor can now say ‘I am rich’, the defeated can now say ‘ I am more than a conqueror’.

God is giving you a new song. God is giving you a new beginning this period.

Jesus rose on Easter Sunday so that we can have a new name. Because He rose, we can be called the children of God. Of all religions of the world, it is only in Christianity that people claim to be children of God. Some religionists call themselves God’s slaves. Thank God you are more than a slave! You are a child of the King of Glory. Because He rose, we now have new hopes, goals, aspirations, etc.

Every negative name you have borne shall be changed this season because He arose. Your worth is established. You are worth more than slaves. You are now of great value to God the Father because Jesus rose. Similarly, there was an earthquake. Why an earthquake on Easter morning? To get the attention of those around. Nobody can ignore an earthquake. In the same way, nobody can ignore Jesus Christ. You may hate or disagree with Him but you cannot ignore Him. From today, because He arose, nobody will ignore you.EASTER MESSAGES

Nobody will despise your youth. In any case, has Jesus risen in your life? Until He does, Easter is meaningless. Receive Him into your heart today. Ask for forgiveness of sins and ask Him to empower you to live as His child. It shall be well with you.

Thank God for the new beginning the Lord makes available to you this Easter.

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Phil 1:21). The above comment was made by Paul. In other words, he was saying: ‘I will live for Jesus and even if I die in the process, I will die His partner’. Paul was an example of a faithful partner in divine- human partnership.

No wonder his hands performed special miracles (Acts 19:11-12). The degree of your partnership with God will determine the level of Kingdom benefits you will enjoy. Read the rest of this entry »

Service offerings: You cannot outgive God

PASTOR ENOCH ADEBOYE

Memorise: “And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering” (Gen 4:4)

Read: Genesis 18:8-15

When God smiles on your offering, He leaves you with a blank cheque. A woman once gave God an offering and He smiled on her. As at this time, she was heavily indebted. Today, she is a director in one of the big banks in Nigeria. She sat at home one day when somebody came and invited her to be a director in the bank. She had no money. She had no shares in the bank.

By every standard she never deserved this. But when God wants to demonstrate His love for you, He opens a way where nobody has seen one. When God loves you in a special way, He will order your steps and make circumstances favour you. This year, the Lord will cause you to hear the good news that will change your status for good.

Another lesson learnt from Genesis 18:1-15 is that when God deliberately requests an offering from you, you can be assured that it is a disguised avenue of blessing. When the All Sufficient God asks you for something, begin to celebrate because pending prophecies of several years could be fulfilled in one day.

His visit to Abraham was deliberate. It was an opportunity to effect His promise of several years. Is God asking you for something? Have you yielded or are you still struggling? Beloved, it is only an opportunity to fulfil what He has promised you. Obey Him today and enter into your joy!

Sometimes, God ignores your doubts. When God paid Abraham a visit, Sarah laughed because He said she would have a child. That was sheer unbelief! That was enough to stop God from fulfilling His promise to the couple. But God ignored her unbelief because He was the One who came to ask for food. He absorbed her doubts!

In the mighty Name of Jesus, the Lord will ignore your doubts and fears and manifest His promises and prophecies in your life. Has God requested you to do something for Him?

Go ahead and do it. It may be unknown to your spouse or spiritual leader. Obey Him with dispatch.

Whenever God asks you for something, it could be that He wants to use that avenue to restore something or some opportunity you once lost. Many times, when God is about to do something, He starts at the reverse side. It will take only discerning eyes and hearts to see God at work in such situations.

Meeting God’s demands is a sure way of meeting your needs.

Essence of spiritual warfare

Memorise: “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” (1 Tim 6:12)

Read: 1 Timothy 6:11-12

Your ability to withstand Satan’s tricks, attacks and schemes depends on how much of God’s armour you wear, how often you wear it, and how well you wear it (Eph 6:11).

Anytime a child of God is hit by the enemy’s bullet, the individual should quickly ask himself or herself: ‘Is my armour on?’ Why? This is because this armour is not like earthly armour you would have to remove before going for a shower. It should always be on you except you decide to drop it.

Another question a believer who is hit by enemy’s bullet should ask is, ‘Is the whole armour on?’ Why? Many times we put on this armour, we leave one or more parts unworn. Even when we know how to cast out devils, some of us refuse to put on the Gospel shoes ; soul-winning. If you have all others on but refuse to win souls for Jesus, you stand the risk of being hit by Satan’s bullets. For instance, it takes wearing the Gospel boots to activate the promise in Luke 10:19.

You can confess it everyday if you like, but if you fail to evangelize and you dare demons, you will be disappointed, if not put into serious problems! The challenges some believers face with demons- physically and in dreams, could be as a result of the loophole created by not putting on Gospel boots. Why will serpents not bite you if you are not wearing evangelism boots?

1 Timothy 6:12 says we should fight the good fight of faith. The first fellow Jesus contended with before starting His ministry was the devil. This makes him a prominent adversary that must be fought.

Believers should neither glorify the devil nor ignore him. The greatest mistake anyone can make in life is to ignore the devil. If you ignore the devil, you may not survive to tell the rest of the story.

If you entered the house and you found an armed robber hiding under your bed, what will you do? Will you ignore him and go to sleep? No. If you do, by the time you wake up, you will not be happy with what you will see. If you see traces of the enemy in your dream, arise and fight.

If you notice any symptom of sickness in your body, arise and fight. When you notice a negative trend in your children, don’t ignore it; arise and fight. 1 Peter 5:8 says the devil is always on the move looking for opportunity to attack people. Any armour you fail to wear gives him the pleasure to attack you. Put on the whole armour! Which of the armour are you neglecting today? Immediately put it on now.

Those who ignore the devil live in self-deception. Those who recognize t

he devil live in fear. Don’t be caught in any of these!

On arrival, he opened his door so as to come out and open mine. Somehow, my hand got into the front door. When my son opened the back door, he jammed the front door and cut my hand. I screamed in pain as everyone was confused on what to do. As we made for the room, the pain was unbearable. At that moment, I paused to ask God, Why? His reply was: ‘I visited you and you did not even say ‘Thank you”. I immediately told Him how sorry I was.

Dealing with death by serving God

Memorise: “With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation’ (Psalms 91:16).

Pastor E. Adeboye

Read: Isaiah 38:1-8

“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren in thy land; the number of thy days I will fulfil” (Exodus 23:26). If you serve God with a perfect heart, nothing will kill your children. Apart from this, your God-given dream and ideas will be divinely shielded from vision destroyers.

The divine ideas and revelations that will take you to your destiny shall not die. They shall live, speak and accomplish the purpose God gave them to you in Jesus name. If you have observed such ideas and visions becoming dimmer day after day, know that something has gone wrong with your life of service. Make it up and you will recover in Jesus name.

Another benefit from serving God faithfully is long life. God promises to personally supervise your years on earth that they do not cease before His appointed time. Psalm 91:16 says, “With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.”

This is true. What God is saying here is that you could serve Him to a point that you would be allowed to determine when to come home to glory. If He says, I am taking you at 60 years but you say, “Lord, I want 30 more years,” He will give in to your desire.

In today’s reading, we have an example in King Hezekiah. Prophet Isaiah took a message of death to him. He told him, Your time is up. Begin to write your will and put your house in order. But Hezekiah went to remind God of his years of service and life of holiness, immediately, God extended his life by 15 years.

Check the Scriptures. Those who served God with a perfect heart were never at the mercy of death. Most of them knew exactly when they would die. In fact, some of them toyed with the issue that gives even the greatest men on earth the dread of their lives. Peter knew his (2 Peter 1:14). Paul knew his (2 Timothy 4:6-8).

Have you been serving God faithfully? Nobody can kill you before your time. Long life is your portion. Like Job, God expects you to live long to enjoy the fruit of your labour (Job 42:12-17). How have you been serving God?

Increase your level of service both in quality and quantity and resist every spirit of death sent against you or your family. According to Psalm 118:17, the reason you will not die is because of service. Your quality and length of service can determine how long you live.

Command every spirit of death sent against you to return to sender.

Thank God for long life.

Another factor responsible for quenching the pentecostal fire is over-confidence. This involves having a highly bloated ego, an above normal confidence in one’s knowledge, ability or possessions.

It is a sister to pride. The over confident person will boast of his ability and dare situations or challenges in his power. Usually, he will return with a tale of woe and defeat. You will not fall prey to this vice in Jesus name.

“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12). Over Confidence introduces some measure of laziness or slothfulness into anyone possessing it.

Memorise: “Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me” (Proverbs 30:8).

By Pastor Adeboye

Read: Proverbs 30:7-9

Never ask God to give you the wealth you cannot control. What you cannot control will control you. What you cannot control, will dominate you. What you cannot be lord over will become your master. If you let the gifts take over the place of the Giver in your heart, you will provoke God to jealousy and before long, He will demand for your Isaac. Be wise.

David was one young man who had seen troubles and battles. He fought battles to the point that one of his greatest heart’s desire which was to build for the Lord was denied him. Reason? His hands had shed so much blood. His son Solomon had to do it in his place (1 Chr 22:6-11).

But as you will see from his life’s history, those battles and troubles he went through only succeeded in making him spiritually alert, prayerful, more reliant on God and victorious. The enemy could not catch up with him. Flagrant sins too were kept at bay.

The situation of lack, persistent joblessness or fruitlessness you have been going through is not meant to destroy you. No unpleasant situation can drown you because God says if you pass through fire, He will step into it with you. If it is through the flood, He will ensure you do not drown (Isaiah 43:1-2). Those situations are to keep you spiritually on guard. God is present in times of trouble.

Sometimes, some Christians pray, Lord let all those troubling my life die today. Others pray, Lord let problems cease in my life and let me enter my rest today. If God should answer those prayers, you will be either be taken immediately to Heaven or you may backslide completely. When there is no challenge to keep you on your toes, you will become very complacent.

When there is no more test, you cannot be promoted beyond your present level. When you have all your needs met and no enemy attacks you, not long after, when they tell you, Let us pray, you will ask, Pray to whom and for what? All the time David ran from cave to cave either fleeing from king Saul, Absalom his son or his other enemies, he remained fit.

But when he was established as the king and comfort set in, he could find time for adultery, lies and murder of an innocent child of God (2 Samuel 11:1-25). Check all the excesses of comfort in your life and take steps to have mastery over whatever God gives you. Like the writer of today’s reading make the wise request to be given the level of wealth you can control. That unpleasant situation is working for you.

Problems are revival pills to keep us spiritually healthy.

Christian sermon on mystery of speaking in tongues

Pastor Enoch Adeboye

Another purpose for the gift of tongues is to get us out of tight situations. God can for a period of time and for a specific purpose supernaturally endow you with an understanding of a language you have never learnt. This is not done to glorify the flesh but to support the Kingdom business.

An American preacher once went to preach in Spain. On the day he was to minister, his Interpreter was nowhere to be found. He found himself in a tight corner and called on the Lord for help. In answering his distress call, the Lord gave him the power to speak Spanish and he preached directly in the language he never learnt. Read the rest of this entry »

As you develop your spirit, there are certain revelations that would come to you which the Lord will ask you to reveal during your preaching.

Ephesians 6:19 says: “And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel.”

There are some sermons people will not want to hear. No preacher likes to preach an unwanted sermon. But if you have received the gift of tongues, the boldness is released to enable you declare unpalatable sermons without fear or favour. Read the rest of this entry »

Pastor Adeboye’s sermons on prosperity

After the catch of fishes and the two boats were brought to the shore, we are told that Peter forsook all. Luke 5:11 says: ”And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all and followed him.” We want to examine what Peter actually forsook.

The first thing he forsook was his boat. Until that moment, the boat represented his security- what made him secure. As a tool of security, a boat is limited because in the event of a real storm the boat may give way.

Many are still relying on one security personnel, gadget, one charm one the other. Leave behind those limited security measures. Come to Jesus whose name is ‘Security.’ Proverbs 21:31 says: “The horse is prepared against the day of battle but safety is of the LORD.” Read the rest of this entry »

Christian woman: Are women more virtuous than men?

Memorize: and the angel answered and said unto the women, fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus which was crucified”  (Matt.28:5)

In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn to ward the first day of the week Mary Magdalene end the other Mary to see the sepulcher” (Mathew 28:1).

Over the ages, women have prove to be great assets in the Kingdom if God. After the death  and burial of Jesus, most male disciples went into hiding, whereas the female disciples were out at His grave side to show that they still love Him even after death.

The president of a country died. Until his death, sycophants swarmed around him like bees after the honey comb. They sang his praise and licked his feet for what they could get from him. Immediately he died, you would be amazed at the speed with which he was dumped! It took a while before they could even go near the corpse. Every devouer in your life pretending to be a friend shall be uprooted in Jesus name.

The women in this passage were true friend. The Lord will give to you true friends. They went to the grave side of Jesus intending to anoint His corpse (Mark 16:1).

This was an act in unbelief because if they had believed His promise of resurrection, they would not attempt to another to emblem someone who would rise again. Yet they were outstanding in devotion as they were His friendswhile He was alive and remained faithful after His death

Bible study on the story of King David and Paul

Act 13:22 NKJV

Anytime God describes someone as a man after my own heart, study them carefully. Let’s look at the life of David.

He had a humble start but a great finish. David began as a shepherd and ended up as a king. The chance of that happening were slim to none.

In those days shepherds were so low on the tore pole they couldn’t testify in a court of law their word wasn’t considered reliable.

Yet David ended up writing the most widely read and love psalm of all time. When you invite God into your life he cancels the liabilities of your past  and rewrites your future. Read the rest of this entry »

Sermon on the essence of prayer

Posted on Updated on

This one is definitely between you and God. Don’t disappoint. Read to the end

GOD: Angels, do you know what I was just thinking about?

ANGELS: What were you thinking about?

GOD: Christians seem to have forgotten what kind of power they have available and the devil keeps on deceiving them!

ANGELS: God, exactly what are you driving at?

GOD: I have made my children in such a way that when the people of the world are sitting, they would be standing, when the world is standing, they will stand out, when the world stands out, my children must be outstanding and when the devil dares the world to be outstanding, my people will be the standards to be used!

JESUS CHRIST: They (Christians) are also forgetting the words in Ephesians 1:3.

GOD: Please read it out!

ANGEL: PRAISE BE TO THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST , WHO HAS BLESSED US IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN CHRIST .

ANGEL: So what do we do now since the end is almost near ?

HOLY SPIRIT: My Presence is still among men and I will teach and remind the Christians of all that we have discussed. I will also make sure that they pass this message on!

JESUS CHRIST: I will also keep on interceding for them & stand in for them even in their weaknesses.

GOD: I will also make sure that I give to all those who ask of me, seek me and try to find me The blessings I have promised them through My Son, Jesus Christ will be delivered to all those who discover that I, Jehovah, am ready to bless them! Not because of any special things that they have done, but just because I LOVE THEM !

JESUS CHRIST: I will also give all My followers who are willing to pass this conversation on, enough strength to carry on!

ANGELS: We are backing you all, and even the devil cannot stop us! How funny! Christians are finally taking over and …….

DEVIL (eavesdropping behind the gates): I hope you all heard! I will deploy more troops (demons) and make sure the Christians pray less, read their Bibles less, preach less and make sure this mail does not move anywhere! Also…..

Memorize “But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out

thine hand over the sea, and divine it: and the children

of Israel shall go on dry ground through the mist of the sea.

Read: Exodus 14:15-16

When the Israelites got to the shore of the Red Sea, they forgot they were being chased by the Egyptian. They declared a picnic. But as they were settling down to rest, they heard the sound of the enemies behind them and became afraid.

They knew that the advancing army would either return them into slavery or kill them. In their panic, they converged on Moses in tears instead of crying to God. Moses went to God on the matter and the Lord told him what to do and what the Israelites should do (Exodus 14:10-16).

In verse 16, God told Moses, “But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it and the children of Israel shall go on the dry ground though the midst of the sea”. Read the rest of this entry »

The Almighty God is a war veteran who is not only good at fighting on land but also at sea. Every battle against you this year coming from the land or sea shall be terminated and frustrated by the Man of war in Jesus Name.

Our God is also an expert in air battles. The air forces of the world have a lot to release the Israelites, God took over the air and sent grievous files and many lost their lives in the process (Ps 78:45).

Also, He raised of thunder peals and large hail stones from Heaven upon Egypt (Ex 9:22-26). In today’s reading, when five Kings connived against Joshua because he was succeeding, God sent bombs from Heaven which killed most of them. Read the rest of this entry »

Principles of success

Pastor E.A. Adeboye

This book of law shall not depart out of thy mouth but thou shalt mediate day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written there in for then thou shalt make they way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

One of the utmost desires of believers and unbelievers alike is to record successful achievement. Ministers of the gospel business men and women, politicians, civil servants entrepreneurs, students, government officials and people from all spheres of life pray for success.

To be successful means to prosper in a chosen cause. It is similar to being the head and not the tail. Success and excellence go paripasu.

Daniel experience what successful achievement mean because he possessed the spirit of excellence.

Principles of successful achievements

  1. Dependence on God: – Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverb 3:5-6
  1. Determination: – Determination can not be separated from successful achievement. It is determination that will keep you on the right track
  1. Discipline:– Successful people never condone indiscipline. To be disciplined is to be in charge or in control. It can also be seen as the ability to know what to do at the right time and in the right place.
  1. Dedication to Diligence: – Diligence is one of the indisputable conducts of successful people. It is what separates the leader from the laities, the rich and the poor, successful people from failures. You can not go far on the ladder of successes without dedication to hard work

The plan of God for your life is success. It is when you are successful that you will become a channel of blessing to others around you. Failure is alien to the promise of God for you. Have faith in God that He is able to turn you from a failure to a success.
