How do I worship God in spirit and in truth?

Posted on

Memorise: “And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost” (Lk 23:46).

Read: Matthew 6:24-34

).1 Thessalonians 5:23 says man is a trinity comprising spirit, soul and body. Of these three, the most important component is the spirit. If all is well with your spirit, all will be well with your soul and body. Proverbs 18:14 says, “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?”

praise GodIn other words, if your spirit is buoyant and robust, even if there was an infirmity in the body, your spirit will absorb it; but if something happens to your spirit, that is the end of the story. Hence, Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:5-6 unless a man is born of the Spirit he cannot enter God’s Kingdom. Until you worship God in spirit, you have not started worshipping, because God is a Spirit. Hebrews 12:9 calls God the Father of spirits which means all His children are spirits.

The role of a spirit is extremely important in the life of a man. This was why Jesus committed His Spirit into God’s hands. That is ultimate surrender. When you hand over your spirit to someone, you have handed over everything. Once a matter is settled in the realm of the spirit, it manifests sooner or later in the physical realm. An example of this is Job’s trial in Job 1:8-19.

Most of us worry because we have not completely surrendered to Him. A summary of Matthew 6:24-34 is that you cannot have more than one God. If you claim to be a believer in Christ but you have not yet totally surrendered your spirit to the Father of spirits, then you are serving two gods – the Almighty God and yourself.

If you have only one God, you have nothing to worry about because He is more than enough to take care of you. He is the Jehovah El-shaddai – the God that is more than enough. If you do not want to inconvenience yourself while claiming to serve God, you are serving yourself. Have you truly surrendered to His Lordship?

1 Timothy 4:8 says bodily exercises have some measure of profit for us. If you fail to obtain that virtue, your body may disappoint you. Start regular 10 to 15 minutes exercise for your family.

Understanding God’s mercy

Posted on Updated on

Luke 17:11-19:

 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

On his way to Jerusalem, Jesus went along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men with leprosy came toward him. They stood at a distance and shouted, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” Jesus looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.”

On their way they were healed. When one of them discovered that he was healed, he came back, shouting praises to God.

He bowed down at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. The man was from the country of Samaria. Jesus asked, “Weren’t ten men healed? Where are the other nine? Why was this foreigner the only one who came back to thank God?” Then Jesus told the man, “You may get up and go. Your faith has made you well.”

As we go on in our lives, at one point or the other Jesus comes our way. He is ready to make you whole. He is ready to heal you of whatever hurts you have but just like the ten lepers, you have a responsibility to call out to Him for mercy. His ears are open to your cries. Call unto Him today and He will save you. However when he sees you do not forget to go to give him thanks as the Samaritan did.

Do you want to be reconciled with God, through Jesus the Lord and Saviour? Then say this simple prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory. I genuinely repent from all my sins and pledge to go and sin no more. I accept your plan to reconcile mankind to you through Jesus Christ, who you sent in your name.

I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and died on the Cross to pay the penalty for my sins and redeem me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I pray that His blood washes my sins away. I invite the Holy Spirit to rule my Life. I am born again in Jesus name.

Christian sermon on thanksgiving Day

Posted on Updated on

Memorise: “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful” (Col 3:15)

Read: Luke 17:11-19

It is good to thank God for tangible material blessings – provision of a house, car, job, child, promotion, contract, answer to prayers, etc. But what gives God greater joy and provides you greater mileage in your faith record is when you thank God for unseen, intangible and seemingly negligible blessings such as sleeping and waking up, spiritual blessings, victory over unseen battles, etc.

How often do you thank God for these? Sometime ago, I read about a man who was attacked by armed robbers. He was robbed of his property and beaten. Yet, he came to thank God. Many who saw no reason for him to thank God, began to ask why he had come to thank God. To them, if he had escaped the armed robbers or his property were intact, those would be justifiable reasons to thank God; but not when he was beaten and robbed. The man saw what they did not see, and said he was thanking God that he was robbed but was not a robber himself; that he had something somebody considered valuable to steal, and because they took his property, not his life.

One lesson from this is that if you want to live a life of thanksgiving, you must considered what others take for granted and probe into the extreme possibilities of a negative event which did not take place. It calls for creativity!

The ten lepers had a divine appointment. They were going out while Jesus was coming in. May your path cross the Lord’s today. Even though they were some distance away, they were outcasts, moving corpses and destined to die sooner or later, they still had something – their voices for which to thank Him. God never leaves you without something to thank Him for.

As long as you have your mouth, you can call or thank Him and get out of trouble. The one who can speak out will always tell people where it is hurting. This is why I pity little children. An adage says, The inability to speak is the root of all ill-luck. As an undergraduate, I went to spend a week with my uncle. The pounded yam his wife served me was small. If I was going to spend just that day, I would have kept quiet. But since I had a week ahead of me, I did not want hunger to kill me, so I asked her if I was really welcome.

And she said ‘Yes’. With that, I requested for more food and she served me. Thank God you have a mouth. Use it to thank God from today. The more creative you are, the more the quality of your thanksgiving.

Go on a creative ride as you thank God for all He has done for you. Thank Him in a different way from how you have always done it.

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. Read the rest of this entry »

Thank You
DEAR GOD:

I want to thank You for what you have already done.
I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about me;
I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears;
I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves;
I am going to thank you right now.
I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is quiet;
I am going to thank you right now.
I am not going to wait until I get promoted at work or until I get the job;
I am going to thank you right now.
I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me pain or grief;
I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed;
I am thanking you right now.
I am thanking you because I am alive.
I am thanking you because I made it through the day’s difficulties.
I am thanking you because I have walked around the obstacles.
I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do better.

I’m thanking you because FATHER, YOU haven’t given up on me.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his court with praise: be thank unto him,

 bless his name” (Ps. 100:4)

Read Psalm 118:1-10

Some year ago, I heard a true story of man who was jailed in America because a woman alleged he raped her.

Four years into his jail term, the woman confessed she lied against the man. So the case was re-opened in court. The lawyer of the plaintiff argued that if  she lied the first time, what was the assurance that she was not lying this time around. So they returned the man to continue his jail term for a crime he did not commit.

Today, there are many in the prison who know nothing about the crime for which they are imprison. You shall not suffer for what you know nothing about in Jesus Name.

I went to pray for patients in the cancer ward of a hospital one day. I saw a boy who had cancer of the eye. One of his eye balls had become almost as large as half of his head. I also saw a woman with cancer of the breast. One breast had become almost as large as her body.

Then I saw one of the female cancer patients singing praises to God and I was surprised. She said she was singing because she knew she was going to die soon and would be going to Heaven. If you die now, where are you going? Some year ago I went to Egypt and the pastor I went to see told me he was going to a place they call the City of the Dead.

There were several graves of those who die during the Second World War. On each grave was a little house built with cellophane, and there lived many who had no money to pay for an accommodation.

Once a year, when the relatives of the dead want to visit the graves of their loves ones, these grave residents would move out in the morning and return by evening when those relatives would have left. No matter how had your situation may be financially, you are not living in a grave yard like these ones.

This call for thanksgiving. If the cancer patient on her way to death could praise God, what about you? You have so many reason to thank God.

Imagine your life: good health, family, job or business, daily provision of food, shelter over your head, education qualification, ministry, God’s grace on your life, God’s bright plan for your future, heavenly reward and eternity in Heaven. Gove God thanks

Receiving miracles thro Praise and Worship

Memorise: “Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us” (Psalm 67:6)

Read: Psalm 67:1-7

Pastor E. ADEBOYE

Praise is a powerful spiritual instrument capable of several positive effects in the life and circumstance of the giver. Concerted, wholehearted and spirit filled praise can affect the earth.

As we praise God “Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God even our own God, shall bless us”. For everyone of us, the earth has some help it has been commanded to deliver to us. We cannot do without it. But after the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, God placed a curse on the earth for man’s sake (Genesis 3:17-19). A simple summary of that curse was that because man disobeyed God’s command, the earth will also disobey man’s command and hoard its help. Ever since, the earth has withheld the blessings of many.

According to Galatians 3:13-14, when Jesus came, by His sacrificial crucifixion, death and resurrection, He broke the curse of the law that bound the earth under those who received Him. But several believers have observed that although the curse is lifted, their earth is not yielding its increase as it should. This is because the earth is expecting you to force its mouth open.

The earth opens its mouth when it wants to swallow or vomit something. To do either, it must be provoked. If you can engage in intense, pure and God-centered praise, the earth will feel some beautiful vibrations. It will trace the location of that worshipper, and as it opens its mouth to join in the praise and dance, it will spill out your hoarded increase, blessings, contracts, promotion, babies, cars, houses, healings, etc.

There are some blessings that no fasting and prayer can bring your way. There are some major increases that will come your way only through offering quality praise. Praise easily attracts God’s presence. If you have tried to solve a particular problem for so long, it may be that the key you are inserting into the key hole is the wrong one. Try the key of praise. If you praise God regularly as He wants, you will not need to spend much time making requests. Your desire will be granted before you even ask. But if you concentrate on requests while praying, you may need to put in so much time, yet the result may not be so encouraging. How often do you praise God? Praising God makes you God focused, while always asking makes you need focused.

Force the earth to release your blessings through praise.

Bible study on effective Praise and Worship to God

Adeboye

Read: Matthew 15:7-9

By Pst. E. Adeboye

Apart from restricting worship to a place or location, lack of revelational knowledge of who is being worshipped, and using phrases with little or no Word content, another reason for rejection of worship is when it is not spirit based. For you to offer acceptable worship to God, it must be from a recreated spirit. Some unbelievers think worship is merely having a good voice, combined with an understanding of music. It is more than that. Salvation is fundamental to worship because it is the process by which your spirit man which was dead, can be recreated in Christ.

As long as your spirit man is dead, you cannot worship God in spirit. All head based worship can take you no where except you are born of the spirit, hence Jesus says, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the spirit is spirit” (John 3:6). No sinner can worship God in spirit. Even as a believer, the moment you harbour sin in your heart, your worship will be rejected.

Similarly, any worship that is not done in truth is unacceptable to God. Today, there is so much hypocrisy in worship. Matthew 15:8 says, “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me”. Any worship that does not go beyond lips service is rejected by God.

Whenever you worship God, He comes to find out if there is agreement between your heart and lips. If your mouth is saying one thing but your heart is saying another, Heaven’s conclusion is that such a worship is vain. There is no reward for it.

This goes to show that God expects us to mean what we say in worship. If you say, ‘God, you are so good’ but in your heart you are wondering if He is as good as is claimed, that worship will not be accepted. Anytime you query God’s Word, infinite mercy, and goodness, any worship you render at such times will be rejected.

Hebrews 10:22 says whenever you come before God, come with a true heart. In other words, be sincere in your approach and motive. Also, you should come in faith. If you do not believe your worship will achieve its purpose, it will be fruitless. No evil- bitterness, grudge, lie, unbelief, unforgiving spirit, etc. must be found in your heart. Your body- particularly your hands must be clean.

There should be no sinful record against you so that your worship can be acceptable. Today, many worship God with lust, lies, envy and grudges: no wonder their worship does not go beyond the roof. When you worship God, worship Him for who He is, and what He has done, and not necessarily for what you want from Him (Matt 4:9). If your worship is always tied to material things you expect from Him, it is selfish and vain. Worship Him out of love.

Spend at least two hours to worship the Almighty God today. The heart that habours sin cannot offer quality worship. Sanitize your heart before worship.

A FALSE WORSHIPPER?

Memorise: “For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding” (Psalm 47:7)

Read: John 4:23-24

 Pastor E. Adeboye

‘But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him” (John 4:23).

In the phrase “The hour cometh and now is”, the Lord is jointly talking about the present and future, since the past, present and future coexist in Him. That is why He is rightly called the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the One Who was, Who is and is to come.

From time past, God had sought for worshippers but has been disappointed with the quality of worship offered by His children. God is tired of poor worship offering. He has since launched a man-haunt for true worshippers. Will He find you worthy? There are two categories of worshippers of God – true and false worshippers. Where does your worship offering fall?

Why is worship rejected? What constitutes false worship? According to John 4:21-24, restricting worship to a particular place or location makes your worship unacceptable. In the past, the Samaritans believed they have to go to a particular mountain, or to Jerusalem before they can worship God.

Today, some people still believe that worship should be done only in church or during worship programmes. Such limited worship is rejected by God. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says you are God’s temple and as such worship should freely flow both from your body and your spirit to God your Owner.

Another reason worship is rejected by God is when it lacks understanding of Who is being worshipped. Jesus told the Samaritan woman they were worshipping what they did not know. This shows that the Word of God as well as divine revelation of Who God is, is non negotiable in true worship. The more you know God, the better the quality of worship. The more you experience God in situations, the more your prose and poetry will flow in worship to Him.

An example here is the worship and praise Psalm Moses and the children of Israel composed after their victory over the Egyptians (Exodus 15:1-21). This is also why Psalm 47:7 commands you to sing with understanding. When you worship God without the backing of His Word, it is like offering God vapour instead of water. It appears briefly but before you take it in, it evaporates.

Whenever you use God’s Word while worshipping God, it becomes a powerful, acceptable worship. God is ever bound to honour His Word. How much of His Word is inside of you? Stop being a false worshipper. Take steps to worship Him correctly from today.

Like Moses and the Israelites did in Exodus 15:1-21, compose five songs out of personal experiences of God’s intervention in your life and family. As you worship God with these, such worship will be with understanding.

Psalm of Thanksgiving..How to Praise God

Posted on Updated on

“I will always thank the LORD; I will never stop praising him” (Psalm 34:1, TEV).

“…always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:20, NIV).

I have been composing and sending text messages to people, and people have been sending text messages to me. However, I received a text message from an online friend early this month that really touched me.

Here is its content: “You can spend the remaining days of this year asking God for what He has not done. But you can choose a better option thanking Him for all He has done for you this year. You do not have to wait until December 31 before you thank Him for the year. Have a THANKFUL month.”

Truly, people (including me) tend to still be looking unto God for one thing or the other that He has not done for them this year without considering those things He has done and praise Him for them. We may even be thinking that the time to appreciate Him for His goodness should be the end of the year.

However, the message of that text message is pertinent to us. We have to start thanking God for the year now even without knowing what the remaining days have in stock for us. The Lord that has helped thus far will make us see the end of the year and even do more than what we are expecting from Him.

Start now to thank God for the year. Look back and be grateful for what He has done in your life. Even, if He has not done what you want from Him this year, the remaining days of the year are more than enough for Him to surprise you.

Praise Him for who He is in your life. Thank Him for what He has done, is doing, and will do. He will perfect His plans and purpose in your life. Do not wait until the end of the year. Start now!

How to receive divine healing from sicknesses

Posted on Updated on

SO SICK, STILL FULL OF THANKSGIVING

“Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18, NIV).

My three-year-old daughter surprised me recently. She was so sick that she could not go to school. She even vomited all the food, drink and drugs that we gave her that day. However, when I asked her to pray as she was about to sleep that night, she thanked God for every activity of the day she could remember. Amazingly, she did not remember to pray that God should heal her.

I later prayed for divine healing for her, but that prayer of thanksgiving, even when she was so sick, touched me and made me to think about my prayer life. How many times do I remember to thank God for His goodness over me when I am in distress? Prophet Habakkuk was a good example here. He was complaining about why the wicked prospered while the righteous suffered. It seemed God did not act as he had expected.

Yet he concluded his prophecy with praises of God because he knew that there was a benevolent God behind the seemingly unpleasant circumstance. He would rather rejoice in the Lord even in his precarious situation. He concluded his prophecy thus: “Though the fig-tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Saviour. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights” (Habakkuk 3:17-19, NIV).

Job, in his anguish praised God. Why? He remembered in his pains that God’s purpose is always good. Hear him, “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him…” (Job 13:15, NIV); “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God…” (Job 19:25-26, NIV); and “But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold” (Job 23:10, NIV).

What are you passing through? Are you so sick, so poor, so sad, so weak, or so what? Praise the Lord! He still cares for you. The psalmist boasted: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4, NIV). Be full of thanksgiving in all circumstances. That is God’s will for you!

Secret powers in Praise and Worship

Posted on Updated on

a.       Praise have the capacity to execute judgement upon our enemies

b.      Through praise, we have power over king and nobles; it says to bind their kings with chains.

c.       Praise ignites the anger of God against our enemies. That is why is a tragedy that most of us miss the praise worship services. When the praise worship starts, that  is when some will be chatting with their friends and there are many Pastors who are so big that they don’t  participate in praise worship any more.   If you say the service has stated they will say no they are just doing praise and worship, it is because these things are not clear to them.

d.      Praise executes vengeance against our enemies.

e.      Praise has the power to carry us into the spirit realm: This is because that is what those angels in heaven are doing, the ones that are at the throne of God.

f.        When God’s praise is in your mouth, then His sword of deliverance comes into your hand.

g.       Praise is a tremendous weapon of warfare: it is a weapon of violence, according to the three passages we read.

h.      Praise will expel all binding spirits: Nobody likes to stay in a place where they are parsing his enemy. Satan cannot remain in an audience full of praise.

i.         Praise brings down the manifest presence of God: it brings it down into the midst, the Bible says, at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and they sang praises.

j.        Praises unburden the soul: it says He gives the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness, according to Isaiah 61:3; “ according Isaiah 61:3; To console those who mourn in Zion to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of Joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the lord that He may be glorified

k.       Praise can bring you the earthquake of deliverance: Do you want an earthquake of deliverance to be sent to your situation to shake down all the foundation of the enemy? Then engage in violet praises!

l.         Praise can melt away unclean thoughts: the bottom line of what we are saying is this, in an atmosphere where praise are offered to God, the power of God is released to meet our need.

Power in Praise and Worship

Genesis 1:26-27

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Acts 16:25-26

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody’s chains came loose.

T

his message is more of a counsel. In Genesis, we see that God created man in His image. We must believe this literally if we to have a good relationship with our Maker.

God has a body with Eyes, Ears, Nose, Hands, Legs, and Mouth.  In the Bible, we read expressions like fire coming out of the mouth of the Lord, the right hand of the Lord doing valiantly, God listening with His eyes, the eyes of God being all over the world, and the world being under God’s feet.

God also has a Soul and a Spirit. He thinks, meditates, and has passions. The only difference is that unlike  man, all thoughts of God are Holy. If we understand that God has a soul, it will not be difficult for us to know why he responds to praises. As humans, only sadists will not respond to praises. If you tell a man well done or a lady that she is cute, many will shake their heads and thank you for the compliments.  As Husbands, our wives are not contended until we compliment the taste of their meals.

Few years ago, a woman told me an interesting story concerning her husband, who is a Socialite. The Husband had attended a night party, which had a popular Musician in the bandstand, and during the dance session, the musician sang praises of the Socialite.

In an appreciative response, as is the custom among the Yoruba ethnic group of South West Nigeria, the Socialite splashed currency notes on the musician to the extent that all the money he brought to the night party became exhausted. But the Musician did not relent in the Praise singing, and because the Socialite was enjoying the Praises, and wanted thee currency spray to continue, he dashed home in the middle of the night, borrowed some money from the wife, dashed back to the night party, and resumed splashing currency notes on the Musician!

If men can respond to Praise singing in such a way, how much more God. If a man can borrow money to give a Praise singer, imagine how God will bless us if we also praise Him qualitatively. We are created in the image of God, and God also responds to Praise such as men do.

There are various ways of communicating with God. Let us stimulate the example of four Christians communicating with God in various ways. The first person is praying to God, the second person confessing the word of God, the third is engaged in a fasting programme, and the fourth simply praising God and offering thanksgiving.

Let us analyze the acts of the four Christians. The first Christians is most likely praying for some needs. His requesting a favour from God. Unfortunately most prayers are not answered because of faithlessness, and our prayers often become tautology before God. The second Christian is confessing the word of God, most likely with a desire to bring the promises of God to pass in his life.

Like the former, he is engaged in this dialogue because he needs a favour form God. The third Christian is also involved in a fasting programme mostly likely to receive power to overcome Satan and get some prayers answered. Like the others, he is not giving anything back to God, but making a request.  But the fourth Christian who is praising God, is not asking from God but giving to God.

Of all the four type Christians that are communicating with God, the first person that will receive God’s attention is the person involved in Praise and thanksgiving. God delights in praise. He enjoys t. Praise brings us to His presence, and in His presence, there is glory and abundance of Joy. If you are always in the Presence of God, the demons that the enemy has released to attack your life will become powerless. If you are a Praise warrior, you do not need to be a prayer warrior, as deliverance prayers will be needless.  The glory of God will always be with you, and the enemy will not be able to approach you. When Moses went to the presence of God and came back, the people could not look at him because of the glory of God all over him.

Christians involved in praise and thanksgiving are the only ones that are giving rather intending to receive from God. And the Biblical principles of giving are clear.  It is more blessed to give rather than to receive even from God. And the only thing we can give Him is praise

God separated, the Levites, on of the 12 tribes of the Israelite nation as His Priests and commanded the other tribes to give them a tenth of their increase, just because he wanted the Levites to be always before Him offering Praise and thanksgiving.

Praise is a sweet aroma before God, unfortunately very few Christians offer qualitative Praise to God. Have you ever spend three hours before God in Praise? Have you ever spent seven hours alone with God in Praise? If not, this may explain why you have not seen the glory of God. Like I said earlier, very few Christians are spending quality time before God in prayer. Even most Churches are programmed such that the Praise and Worship session has become an entertainment and a religious monotony.

This reminds me of the beautiful testimony of one brother who because of financial pressure decided to sell off his only notable asset, a Radio, for about $45. However, when he sought the opinion of his Pastor, he was Pastor counseled to be in the presence of God in praise for three hours, to hear from God before selling off the Radio set. The brother reluctantly obeyed this simple instruction, and miraculously on completion of this Praise therapy, somebody approached him and gave him a monetary gift of exactly $45, the exact amount he wanted to dispose off his only  asset.

The lesson here is that we do not have to struggle to be blessed if we have an attitude of Praising and thanksgiving. God is really tired of most our Prayers. He says we are blessed already, just recognize and appreciate my omnipotence, and I will reveal to you the riches stored in secret places. God wants us to  thank Him for what I have done for you in the past, and He will give us wisdom to make more wealth

In the Acts of the Apostles 16:25-26, we read that Paul and Silas praise God unceasingly and the foundation of the prison shocked violently, the gates gave way, and they walked out like free men with angelic assistance.

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately al the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed”

This miracle can be easily explain. As we read in the Bible, the earth is the footstool of God, meaning the whole earth is under His feet. Now anytime a person praises God qualitatively, He will respond by shaking his body including his legs to the rhythm and melody of the praise.

Do not forget I stated by saying that we are created in the image of God, and that God also has passions like we do. Once God starts responding to your praise, he will be dancing and by so doing hitting His feet on the earth, which is His footstool. This physical movements will result in an earthquake freeing you from prisons of life.

Do not want to be freed from the prisons of life? Praise is the weapon for you freedom. Do you want the bands on your hands to get loosen? Start praising God now and see the shackles falling off. Before you can have the spirit of praise, it goes without saying that you must know who God is, and start a relationship with Him, meaning you must be born again.
