Oh dear: Turn me into a spirit man – is that the patriarch speaking? If my wife turns into a good man I’m in trouble.
Read your Bible – pray around the clock???? In my Bible James tells me what true religion is – something like visiting the prisoners and the widows in their distress. I don’t remember him saying but only if you have time after doing the religious bits. Jesus specifically cautions those making a show of their prayer and says not everyone who calls me Lord will enter the Kingdom of God. In my Bible it even has him saying: Matt 25 verses 37….
Then the righteous will reply “Lord when was it that we saw you hungry and fed you, or thirsty and gave you a drink, or naked and clothed you. When was it we saw you ill – or in prison, and come to visit you? And he answered how???
Pray by all means if you have time but ignore Jesus in the faces of the poor, the hungry etc at your peril……And if you must read the Bible start with the clear bits like the Sermon on the Mount. The aim surely is not to read as much as possible. The aim must be to respond to the bits you do understand with some life choices.
