When Mary was expecting the baby who would turn out to be the savior of the world, she paid a visit to hers Cousin Elizabeth, who was also pregnant. Her child was to be the forerunner of the Messiah. The two women came to gather to share their stories and to encourage each other. After Mary arrived, the Bible says that Elizabeth’s baby leaped in her womb and she was filled with Holy Spirit (See Luke 1:41).
When you stop working against other women and came together like Mary and Elizabeth, the things you had stopped believing God for will start leaping in your spirit again. Your babies will leap in your wombs, and the power of the Lord Jesus will do a new thing in your life.
If you are a woman who has had a dream and sensed a promise, reach out to God. Every woman who knows there is another woman inside who hasn’t come forth can call out to God, and He will reveal that inner woman. He will replace what was stolen by your suffering and shame. He will take back the enemy all that was swallowed up in your history. To accomplish this, He may provide a partner of the heart – a sister in Christ.
Don’t be surprise if Satan attempts to spoil your plans. He can cause you to doubt your sister motives. He can plant all kinds of bitter seeds in your relationship. He can even make you jealous of her prayer power. But God is greater. He will build you up in His Sprit so that when you come to gather, you will be able to cast down the enemy and trample him under your feet.
Jesus Himself said, “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them”. (Mathew 1819, 20).
God wants to bring sisters together. Every Mary needs an Elizabeth. Stop your bickering and your badmouthing. Drop your guns and your gossip. Throw down your verbal swords and the walls you’ve built around yourself for protection. God put something in your sister that you need, and he put something in you that she needs. When you come together for prayer and mutual support, powerful things can happen.
