Christian dating: Can I have sex with my fiancee?

Courtship is a relationship with an objective: two people building a home with a solid foundation to show themselves approved of God.

‘Be ye not unequally yoke together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what concord has Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God: as God hath said, I will dwell in them and walk in them and I will be their God, and they shall be my people’ 11 Cor6:14-16 ‘

A Christian is supposed to marry Christian. We are not to marry unbelievers.

If you have receive Jesus as your saviour and are not married, stay in the Lord and wait patiently for His word. You will not have to play guessing or pick-and choose games. The Lord will direct you as you seek His face. ‘So that thou fined favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding’ Prove. 3:4-5. all you need, is to be obedient and wait. The right partner will come.

Courtship should be a time of purity. You should not sin. Sex before marriage, even in courtship is fornication, and it will bring God’s judgment. The Bible commands us to keep ourselves pure.

Courtship is the time to study each other’s character and life. Love, romance, and emotion should be secondary.  The focus is to find a friend, a partner, and a helpmeet

. Issues such as children, personal likes and dislikes hobbies, passions, weakness, strengths, failures, and mistakes should be discussed.

Learn to know each other and your future families as well, and continue to commit the relationship into the hands of God. Share your dreams, ideas and visions. When you are in courtship, do not sleep in other’s house.

You should abstain from all appearances of evil and temptation.

It good to marry according to the will of the Lord. He is the Alpha and the Omega He will perfect His work.
