The secrets of success in life

John 6 vs 1-13:

1 After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. 2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased. 3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.

4 And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh. 5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him, 9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten

Lessons of this miracle

1. Identify what is in you hand? What is your talent, at designing, gift, or thing you know how to do best? Singing, acting, cracking jokes, writing, sewing, reading, cooking, sports, photography. I am persuaded there is one thing you know how to do well. A rod of miracle
2. The young lad was holding a meal enough to save people from hunger and death, but I imagine he never knew.
3. Look in wards, there is a way you can raise a loan to start that business.
4. Start small. The little meal the young lad was holding was enough to feed five thousand
5. Lay you hands on something and let the breath and spirit of God fall on it.
6. Look unto heavens for help. When Jesus collected the five loaves and two pieces he look unto heaven. Trust in God and don’t rely on your power.
7. Give thanks for the little you have and God will multiply it. Jesus gave thanks to God for the five loaves and two pieces of fish and a miracle occurred afterwards

How to achieve success in life

Psalm 82: 6 says, “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”

Exodus 4: 1-4
1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. 2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.

3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. 4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand

• There is a miracle in your hands. You are a living miracle. God did not create nonentities. He created living miracles. He has given you a talent, a gift, and a virtue that is able to help you stand out in live

Success in life

Exodus 4: 1-4

1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. 2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.

3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand

What is in thine hand?

  • Several of us look up to God for a miracle in our lives
  • It may be a financial miracle the commonest, of miracle for a new job, a better accommodation, a good car, healing, peace in marriage, future partner, or deliverance from some sinful habits
  • We engage in several spiritual exercises such as fasting, prayers, vigils, praise and worship, confession of the word by faith etc in order to bring these desired miracles to pass.
  • Often, these desired miracles may not manifest…we become frustrated, our faith shakes, we are denied the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of the miracles and in some extreme cases we backslide.
  • But the truth is that every one God created is a living miracle, God created you as a human being with a higher intelligence to dominate, replenish, overcome and multiply in any environment you find yourself.

How to overcome fear and anxiety

Lessons from the Exodus of Israelites.

Exodus 2 vs. 1-4: And there went a man of the house of Lev, and took to wife a daughter of Levi. And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. And when she could no longer hide him, she took for him a ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein: and she laid it in the flags by the river‘s brink. And his Sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him’

This is a moving story of boldness and bravery. The King of Egypt had given an order that all the male children of Hebrews, from which the Levites descended from, should be killed at birth.

But when this Levites gave birth to a Son, they hid him for 90 days, and when it was obvious to them that they would be detected if they continue to hide him, they did not hand him over to the executioners but went to place him by the River bank in comfort.

The problem with many of us is that we live in fear and unnecessary anxiety. We die of fear even before death surfaces. Fear is an evil spirit and we must conquer it before we can live victoriously.

The child that was placed in the ark of bulrushes was Moses, who later delivered the Israelites nation from the oppression of the Egyptian. If his parents had been fearful, his destiny would have been aborted at birth.

The parents of Moses refused to hand him over to death. If they were detected hiding the male child, maybe they would also had been killed. But for three months, they trusted in their God that he would intervene to save the situation. I imagine that thousands of other Hebrew parents gave birth to male children before, during and after these 90 days and quickly handed it over to the Egyptians to kill.

They that know their God shall do exploits. The parents of Moses knew Jehovah as their God and trusted in him

No matter the situation around you, hold on to God. No matter the crises you may be in trust for divine intervention. No matter the extend of the contrary storms that are blowing against you, don’t give in, but trust the Rock of ages.

Do not hand yourself to the Satan, even if there is a law that says everybody should hand over to Satan. Trust God, that God will send his angels to resist the Satan that his on the way to your house

Bible lessons on wisdom..story of Joseph

Lessons from the Exodus of Israelites.

Exodus 1 vs. 6- 8: And Joseph died, and his brethren, and all that generation…Now there arose a new king over Egypt, which knew Joseph not

Joseph was the Hebrew slave boy that became a Prime Minister in Egypt through a divine arrangement. Most importantly, God gave him the gift of dream interpretation which led the Egypt to store enough foodstuffs for an oncoming seven years of famine.

Daily prayers to overcome Satan

Acts 28 :1-6
Once safely on shore, we found out that the island was called Malta. The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold.

Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand.

When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.” But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects.

The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead, but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god.

1. Every venomous viper attacking my glory, I shake you into the fire in the name of Jesus
2. You ancient Serpent attacking my business, I trample you to death in Jesus name
3. You serpent attacking my progress, I crush your head with the power of the Holy Ghost.
4. Every wound inflicted on my body by the dragon, be healed in Jesus name
5. Every witchcraft Serpent sent against me, roast to death by fire in Jesus name

Genesis 3:15And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Christians have Power over Satan

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Luke 10:19
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you

Psalm 91:13
You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

Rev. 12:7-9,19
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.

The great dragon was hurled down–that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

….Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring–those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Sex questions: My wife denies me sex!

Is it proper for amy wife to deny me seex or for the husband to demand for sex when a wife is tired?

Both parties should reach a stage of understanding in marriage that they understand each other’s mood and are willing to make compromises to ensure mutual happiness. But tiredness is often used as an excuse by wives to derive their husband of sex.

Sex questions: Why should my wife deny me sex?

This is an adult content page!

Can a wife refuse to consent to sexual demand from her husband?
Under normal circumastances, she has no right to deny you sex, if she is really your wife.In a marriage, both of you have a right to demand for sex from either at any time. Even if you have lately offended, it is not proper for you to use sex as a weapon of punishment. It could better be use to settle quarrels.

I Corinthians 7:2-6 states:

“Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

Defraud ye not one the other, except [it be] with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. But I speak this by permission, [and] not of commandment. “

Christians and money management

• Husband and wife should come together and discuss financial issues. Plan together and trust God together.
• There is a known income and an unknown income. Known income is such as Salaries and expected revenues. Unknown income is donations, gifts, and contracts that you never expected.
• In most cases, the known income can only cover your running expenses and the unknown income can be substantial and can be used for capital projects.
• You should take steps as a family to strengthen your financial income. Do things that will increase your known income. If your known income is so small, pray that God increases it. Also look for ways of cutting costs.
• Don’t live alone by your known income, such as your salary of expected revenue.
• Stretch your faith for financial provision.

Habakkuk 2:4 – The Just Shall Live By Faith• Plan for your unknown income. Make a budget, list a number of scriptures that deals with divine provision and begin to trust God for this unknown income.

Happy sex life: tips for parents

Sex in marriage

This is an adult content page, don’t read if you are under 18 years old, or better still if you are un married.

1. Sex is not a game like football where there must be spectators. It is meant to be enjoyed between married couples in the privacy of their homes.
2. Ideally, couples should have a room to themselves in their homes, and they should ensure they are the only persons in the rooms before and when having sexual relationship.
3. Many times parents underestimate their kids- thinking that they are sleeping when parents are having sexual relationships.
4. It is not proper to assume that they are sleeping when they are not actually sleeping. Anything your children see you doing, they will like copy and attempt to practice it.
5. If you and your children are staying in a room, parents must arrange the timing of their sexual relationship in such a way that the children are not turned to passive observers.
6. Whatever you expose your children to; they will end up doing it.
7. It is ungodly for Christians to attend sex parties, sex swims, or indulge in internet sex.
8. Couples should pray together before any sexual relationship.

This is a way of recognizing that God is the one that gives you the ability to enjoy yourself sexually, and also to commit before the Lord what you desire as the outcomes of the sexual relationship. Do you wish it should result in a pregnancy or otherwise? Moreover, you can determine the gender of your children through prayers said before any sexual act.

This is a sample prayer:

Father Lord, we thank you for keeping us for one another, give us the grace to enjoy one another in Jesus name.

How do I memorise the Bible?

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

The Bible is the sword of the spirit. Your faith in God can also only be increased by reading and understanding the Bible. More importantly the Bible is the road map for our daily life. You need to know what you believe. You need to know several scriptures that o various themes such as healing, prosperity, deliverance, and salvation by heart in order to overcome the battles of daily life and be a good evangelist.

Paul said we study to show ourselves approved.

Unfortunately, many people have problems memorizing Bibles verses. How do you overcome this difficulty? You need to pray and believe you can do all things.

When God saw the children of men building the Tower of Babel, he commented that if men are left to themselves, then can do anything they imagine to do. So God has given mankind power to do the imaginable.

Few years ago, when I was facing some afflictions, and I had a divine instruction to memorize a very long passage 2 Samuel 22. a chapter with 51 verses. To the glory of God I was able to achieve this and recited it several times daily. Although lie a typical Christian I can no longer recite the chapter this days that God has delivered me from the affliction.

But the point I want to make is that you can do all things. The scriptures say this, confess it, believe it and practice this. Take up a particular verse; say to yourself you can do all this according to the word of God. Talk to your brain and go ahead and memorize it.

Many Moslems are able to memorize the whole of the Koran. It is a shame on Christians that very few of us can memorize few verses of the Bible. But we can do all things, if we wish!

Beware of Idols

The clarion call today is that every Christian should carry out a spiritual check of your homes, offices, environment and locations.

5:21 Dear children, guard yourselves from idols.

There are various subtle ways the enemy penetrates the lives of Christians for evil. One of these ways is through satanic objects and materials which the devil may use as a foothold to operate in our lives. The Bible extols us to be as wise as snakes.

What is Idolatry?

1 John 5:21 Dear children, guard yourselves from idols.

Idolatry is one of the evil practices that are detestable to God. Broadly defined, Idolatry is acknowledging other gods and worshipping them, apart from Jehovah God.

However, this write up is not concerned about known idolatry practices. There are other forms of idolatry. Any desire that you cannot control has become an idol to you.

God had given us the power of self will and self control. If you have any passion or hobby that is overcoming your power of self resistance, then that habit has become an idol and your indulgence in that habit is tantamount to idolatry.

The danger here is that some of these habits may affect your devotion to God and your commitment to Christianity.

Can you remember some of the habits that have become your Idols in this sense?

If you are a fan of any sports star or sports event, and watching or playing that event is taking too much of your productive time, then you are guilty of idolatry.

If you spend too much time in playing any game, the time you should have spent in other productive activity including godly activities like reading the Bible, then you are practicing idolatry.

If you are un able to fast for a few days, because you cannot not do without eating, then there is a big spiritual problem. If any where you go and you see food, you feel like eating and drinking, then food has become your idol and you need deliverance.

If you sleep and snore all the time, then you are wasting your life away. There is a time to sleep and a time to work. The Bible says there is a purpose for every activity under the Sun and a time for every thing.
Sleep is good, but must not become you idol.

Are you married and you have several relationships with your spouse several times a day. In other words, are you a sex addict? Then Sex has become your idol, because there should be moderation for every thing.

Do you spend all the day watching Cable TV and films? You are into idolatry.

Please do a check today of any activity that has become compulsive for you, that you cannot do without. If there is any if such, then you are into a form of idolatry because these idols will be taking your attention away from GOD.

Identify your idols, cast out the spirits behind them, and set yourself free in Jesus name.

Miracles and Money making

John 6:4-15

4Now the Passover, the festival of the Jews, was near. 5When he looked up and saw a large crowd coming towards him, Jesus said to Philip, ‘Where are we to buy bread for these people to eat?’

6He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he was going to do. 7Philip answered him, ‘Six months’ wages* would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little.’ 8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,

9‘There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people?’

10Jesus said, ‘Make the people sit down.’ Now there was a great deal of grass in the place; so they* sat down, about five thousand in all.

11Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted.

12When they were satisfied, he told his disciples, ‘Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing may be lost.

13So they gathered them up, and from the fragments of the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten, they filled twelve baskets.

14When the people saw the sign that he had done, they began to say, ‘This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world.’

There is something in you the whole world is waiting for. God had deposited a blessing in you hands that will change the destiny of others. You need to rediscover yourself and manifest.

God help me!

Isaiah 49:15-16: Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! …

God has not forgotten you! He has a plan for you. He calls himself your father, but he is a father that is closer to his children than mothers.

Names of God..Is God real?

Matthew 6:5-13

6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

God is your father.

Do you know God only as Lord or as both your Lord and your father? A Lord is a master that is feared and revered, but a father is loved one. The relationship between a Master-Servant and a Father-Son is different.

Jesus often referred to God as his father, rather that as Lord. He knew most of us have not been able to relate very well with God, because he have been relating with him more as an Almighty, Omnipresent, Sovereign, and All powerful being.

But there is another side of God- he is primarily our father! That’s one of his names and titles.

If only we can relate to God as we relate with our earthy parents, then we will have better companionship with him. Jesus called himself the son of God. Do you see yourself actually as a son of God or a believer? Jesus taught us how to pray to God as our father. But do we actually pray to him as a father? What images of God do we have in our hearts?

God wants us to relate to him as his children. He wants to talk with us as Parents talk to children. He wants to share and know the little details of or lives as parents relate to children. It is only by this realization that we can fully benefit his fatherly benefits.

Few years ago, I challenge God to talk to me. Moments later, I audibly heard an invisible voice speak to me in my native language saying: “Tope, bawo ni?” Tope is a shortened form of my first name, and ‘Bawo ni’ in my native language means: How are you?

God  is real> He spoke to me, saying: “Tope, How are you?” Imagine that, He cares even about how i feel. He does cares about all his children that recognise him not only as a God, but primarily as a Father!

Start relating to him as your Father today.

Secrets, tips, and Keys to Happy marriage

Genesis 2:18 Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” (NASB ©1995)

The institution of marriage was created my God, so if our marriage is not as happy as we wished we should go back to the bible.

Genesis 2 vs. 23And Adam said: This now is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh

Adam must have been very lonely before the creation of Eve. He must have been excited when he woke up from a deep slumber to see newly created Eve by his side. The first thing he did was to compose a love poem for Eve. Said he:

The first love poem in the world was composed by Adam. When last did you compose a poem for your wife? I have not composed one for my wife over the past twelve years since I married her. I think most people in marriages take their spouses for granted, and that’s how the old flame of love dies.

Before advent of Valentine, love expresses itself in beautiful poetry in the Bible. The problem with most Christian men is that we are not romantic, may be due to over righteousness. Go ahead and give your wife a surprise today.

Death anxiety and fear of Death

In Acts 23: 12, 13, we read of forty Jews who banded together and bound themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.

That was around A.D. 58. We know from scriptures that Paul lived for at least 4 years 3 months after that Act 24: 27, 28:11 and 28:30). In fact some authorities believe that Paul was killed in AD 64.

Prayers for month of May 2008

Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The letter ‘M’ that begins this month is prophetic. This is the month of Manifestation. The word month also starts with letter ‘M’, so this is one of the key months in the year, the other being March, when you were supposed to start marching into your miracle.

As I have said in an earlier posting, this is the fifth month, and 5 is the number of Grace. Therefore there is abundant grace to prosper and move forward without struggling.

Please pray like this:

1. Every breakthroughs I have dreamt of, begin to manifest now in May 2008.

2.  Heavenlies powers that control the destiny of this month begin to work for my goodness and mercy in Jesus name.

3.  My harvest, spring forth this month in Jesus name.

4.  Miracles I did not pray for, manifest in my life this month in Jesus name.

5.  I cancel by fire, every spirit of possibility and probability attached to this month. Be replaced by a spirit of certainty in Jesus name.

6.  May 2008, I rechristen you a month of MUSTS, not MAYs in Jesus name.

7. This month, I MUST have a testimony in Jesus name.

8. As the earth is rotating around its axis daily, let every day in my life this month rotate into goodness and blessings in Jesus name.

9. As the earth is revolving around the sun this month let my destiny revolve into new things in Jesus name.

Read Judges 5 vs. 20: The stars fought from heaven,
from their courses they fought against Sisera.

10. Stars of the heavenlies, fight for my breakthroughs this month as you fought against the oppressors of the Israelites.

Total surrender to God

“Then the LORD said to him, ‘What is that in your hand?’ ‘A staff,’ he replied. The LORD said, ‘Throw it on the ground.’ Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it” (Exodus 4:2-3, NIV).
God gives us wisdom, knowledge, understanding, affluence, fame, beauty, and even things that we consider less significant for a definite purpose.

Curses and Blessings

In allowing the incidents of Gen 35:18 to be recorded in the scriptures, the Holy Spirit teaches us that curses (cursed names) should and can be reversed by a blessing (blessed name).

Is Africa cursed?

Isaiah 19 contains prophecies referring to the black race in these end
times. The duo of biblical Egypt (i.e. Black Africa) and Assyria are
linked to Israel as a blessing to the whole world in those days (Isaiah
19:23-25. The following phenomena are prophesied about the black race in
these last days

Are blacks cursed in the Bible?

Biblically, the black race descended from Ham, the second son of Noah, after they survived the flood (Genesis 9-10). The descendants of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put and Canaan (Gen 10:6).

Contrary to misleading exegesis, it was Canaan only that was cursed (Genesis 9:5), Canaan, not Ham; neither was any of the three other sons.

Canaan descendants later included the Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashitess, Hivites, the Avites etc, people groups who were later to be subjects and enemies of the Israelites, children of Abraham (Genesis 15:18 – 21, Exodus 3:8, Deuteronomy 7:1, Joshua 24:11 etc).

Africa in the Bible

Various words used in various translations of the bible to describe the black race (and/or the land of black people) include

i. Ham (Genesis 10:16) – the second son of Noah. Ham means hot, heat or black (P.S-all meanings got from CRUDEN’S CONCORDANCE)

ii. Egypt/The land of Ham (Psalm 78:51, 105:23, 106:22). Egypt means hollow land, hidden land or land of depression. Other synonyms for Egypt are Khet (black land); Elkibit (inundated land) and Coft/Kopt (see Psalm 78:5, 105:23, 106:22 in various translations).

iii. Ethiopia (Upper Nile/Southern Sudan). Ethiops, also known as Cush, was the first son of Ham (Genesis 10:6-8. see also 2 Kings 19:9, Jeremiah 13:23, 38:7, Ezekiel 30:4-5). Meaning blackness, Cush, heat, burning. Also known as Aithiopias in Greek.

iv. Cush (Genesis 10:16, Psalm 68:31 NIV, Ezekiel 30:4-5) meaning Ethiopian or black. In the Septuagint Bible, the word Cush is rendered Ethiops.

v. Sudan/Lower Nile ( Zephaniah 3:10, Isaiah 18:1, 2 Kings 19:9 etc Good News Bible where the NIV and NKJV use the word Cush or Ethiopian).

vi. Mizraim (Genesis 10:6, 13 NIV, GNB: 1 Chronicles 1:8, 11).  A Hebrew word, meaning twofold Egypt/Lower and Upper Nile/Northern and Southern Egypt or Lower and Upper depressions).

vii. Put (Libya/Somalia/Horn of Africa). (Genesis 10:6, Jeremiah 46:9, Ezekiel 30:5, Daniel 11: 43, Acts 2:10). Meaning ‘Heat of the sun”

Is the Black race curse in the Bible?

Even though the Old Testament was focused on the Lord’s dealings with the Israelites, there were some references to his divine plans and purposes for blacks shown and sown in some specific dealings/relationship with some blacks. Just as he brought the gentile Rahab and Ruth into the lineage of Christ, coded in his biblical dealings with some black persons in the old and new testament are insights of the end-time plans for the blacks, as we enter the third day (third millennium) of revival, restoration and fellowship prophesied in Hosea: After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him

The curse of Ham and the Black race

Although the Old Testament scriptures focuses on God’s relationship with the Israelites, God made it clear that in  Amos 9:7 that he has the same/similar passion for the black (referred to as Ethiopians/Cushites in the old testament), as he has for the Jews.

Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? KJV

Do you Israelites think you are more important than the Ethiopians (Cushites), asks the Lord. I brought you out of Egypt, but have I not done as much for other nations? I brought the Philistines from Crete and led the Arameans out of Kir (New Living Translation).

Are not you Israelites the same to me as the Cushites? Did I not bring Israel out of Egypt, the Philistines from Captor and the Arameans from Kir? (Easy-to-Read Version)

Prayers against Satanic barricades

Revelation 12 vs 11:

And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and the word of their testimony, and they not their lives unto the death

I sprinkle the blood of Jesus against every satanic power blocking my progess.

I pull down every satanic blockage against my moving forward in Jesus name

Evil powers standing as a Goliath before my breakthroughs, hear the word of God, be paralysed in Jesus name

Hosts of heaven, clear away every evil blockade on the path of my breakthroughs in Jesus name

Satanic hindrance to my progress, be removed by the word of God and the blood of Jesus

What to expect in month of May 2008

Welcome to a new month- the month of May, the fifth month in the year 2008.

I am happy to inform you that this is not another month neither it is an ordinary month. I have been waiting for this month with high hopes and expectations.

The word ‘May’ literarily means a possibility. But I am happy to inform you that this is not a month of possibilities but certainties. ‘May’ is an English word that can also be translated to mean probabilities. But I am happy to inform you that this is a month of certainties not possibilities.

This is a month of MUSTS not MAYS. This is a month many positive things MUST happen in your life. So the first thing I want you to do is to rechristen this month. You have just entered ‘MUST’ 2008 not ‘MAY’ 2008.

Beloved. this is a month of MUSTS not MAYS.

As you enter the new month, you must be full of expectations and position yourself to posses your processions.

There are several reasons why the month of May in the year 2008 is going to be significant.

The Bible says there is a time for sowing and a time for reaping. You have been sowing for the past four months. Now is the time to start reaping. It takes three months for a seed of corn to become a bunch of corn, we are in the fifth month of the year, we have just passed the fourth month of the year, and therefore your seed is ripe for harvest.

By the spirit of the Lord, I prophesise that as many good things you have laid your hands on this year; this is the month to start harvesting.

A friend also reminded me yesterday that 5 is the number of G RA C E. The word Grace has five letters. We are in the fifth month of the year; therefore there is abundant grace to prosper.

It does not depend on your effort on your merit, but the grace of God. This is the month of God, therefore be expectant and I anxiously wait to hear your testimonies. I shall share mine also

Is there heaven or hell?

I received this email from a friend, on the the death of one of Nigeria’s leading academic. I believe its content is relevant to all. Happy reading

Greetings to you all,

In the past few days, I have received mails expressing
a combination of shock, surprise, grief and distress
over the death of our beloved Prof JadesolA Akande.

She was indeed a rare gem, a woman of many distinct distinctions. A
woman of valor, a woman of mettle.

We shall all “miss” her for different and collective
reasons. Indeed, an icon has “fallen”.

The question now is; Where is Prof Akande? Is she in
heaven or hell? Do not be shocked at this question and
do not be afraid to express your mind.

If she is in heaven (and I believe most of us will
assume that she is, based on her commitment to Justice
and the Rule of Law, combined with her self-less
service to humanity), then there is no need to weep or
cry. we should all rejoice that she is now with God.

If a friend tells you that he or she just won visa
lottery to the US, what will you do? Will you start
crying or you will rejoice with the friend.

Similarly, for those who believe she is in heaven,
there is cause to rejoice for the things she did went
well with her and we should cherish the richness of
her soul and company while with us and treasure the
fond memories.

If however she is now in Hell-fire (a place of
perpetual torment) then we should weep and mourn. We

Those of us who believe that bad people go to
hell-fire will immediately discard the thought of our
beloved Prof Akande in a place like that. God forbid
they say.

But then, who are those there for I am yet to see an
Obituary column where the advertiser wished the
deceased were in Hell-fire irrespective of the
atrocities committed while on earth. Even our corrupt
and callous leaders are not denied the joy of Heaven
when they die as can be seen in the Obituary columns.

Who then goes to Hell-fire and for how long? If it is
forever, what sense does it make and what joy can a
father derive from burning his child forever in fire?
What father is there even that can tolerate seeing the
hand of his child burnt?

If I show you my burnt hands and you ask what
happened; how will you see my father if I tell you he
is responsible – irrespective of what I may have done?

Remember please that FOREVER is not 10 years, neither
is it 100 years. It is not a 1,000 years nor a million
years. It is not even a billion years. It is FOREVER.

Is it in line with Justice? Does it show love and
affection (qualities we all believe are Godly)? Is it
reasonable? If a man starts to sin from the very day
he is born until he dies at 70 or 80 years, will it be
just to burn him FOREVER?

It is ironical that wickedness, crime and other vices
have not reduced despite centuries of teaching that
bad people will go to Hell-fire. There is even an
alarming increase in wickedness, corruption and the
like. Our corrupt leaders, do they not attend
religious groups and receive blessings from religious
leaders while on the throne? The bad people we have
all aroud are most of them not members of different
religious groups?

Is it not obvious then that whatever the purpose of
teaching Hell-fire has been defeated and that people
should serve God not out of fear of Hell-fire but out
of LOVE?

Let us put our thinking caps on and start asking
questions. Let us banish the era of fear and misery
about the dead for one day we shall all pay the
ultimate price. Death is our creditor and can ask for
his debt whenever he likes.

Let us start asking questions. Let us rise, if need be
above our religions and seek satisfying answers. Let
us keep on seeking for then alone shall we find.

Please feel free to share your views with me. You may
not need to focus on our dear Prof but on the subject
matter. This is not about religion, it is about DEATH,
one subject that affects us all. We need satisfying
answers. Yes we do.

One a final note, I will share with you the experience
of a man of faith who lost his wife in death. When a
friend said “Sorry about the loss of your wife,” He
was quick to respond: “She is not lost. I know where
to find her”. May we know where to find our dear Prof
by asking questions NOW while we still may.

Your UNEMOTIONAL comments will be appreciated.

The story of your life will soon change

Subscribe by email                       Browse at  2 Kings 25 vs. 27-30: 27 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;  28 And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon; 29 And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.  30 And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.

This is a very wonderful and interesting story from the Bible and it shows that it is not over until it is over. We are still in the season of resurrection arising from the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and also entered into a new month, which marks the second quarter of the year.

The good news I have for you in this month is that the story of your life is about to change, therefore be expectant. Before I go to this message, I like to thank my Sister in Christ, Foluso Ibigbami for sending me this biblical passage by text this morning.

The background of the passage quoted above is in 2 Kings 24 vs. 10-16 which records the time Jechoiachin, King of Judah was taken into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar King of Judah. 2 Kings 25 vs. 27-30 now records the story of his release from captivity.

A careful study of this passage will reveal several lessons for us.

  1. The first lesson of this story is that there is a time for salvation, a time for liberty, and a time for freedom from bondage. The Bible was so careful to mention that Jehoiachin’s liberty occurred on the 27th day of the 20th month of the first year of the reign of Evil Merodach, King of Babylon. There is a specific day, month and year your story will change and the good news is that Now is the time. The Israelites were meant to spend 430 years in captivity in Egypt before their deliverance, and it happened so. God is delivering you Now from every captivity in Jesus name
  2. The second lesson from this passage is that God can use anybody for your liberty. No matter how wicked your Boss could be, it would be an instrument in the hands of God for your freedom in Jesus name. I assume the person God used to free Jehoiachin was not a good man, because Kings of Babylon were not mean and wicked. In this particular case, Merodach did not have any pretensions to be a kind King, and his first name is ‘Evil’. Yet the Evil king freed Jehoiachin from 37 years captivity. The message is for us to trust in God rather than man. Anyone can be used by God for your freedom
  3. The third lesson is that it does not matter how long you have spent in captivity,  the important thing is that Jesus will intervene in your situation by the Power of his resurrection. Could you imagine that Jechoiachin spent 37 years in prison? You might have spent have of your life time in one form of affliction or the other, by divine help and intervention is coming now. The story of your life will be rewritten for good in Jesus name.
  4. The fourth lesson from this story is that it shall come to pass. Please read the first few words of 2 Kings 25 vs. 27: ‘And it came to pass..”. Your dreams shall come to pass and become realities in Jesus name. Your imprisonments shall come to pass and turn to freedom in Jesus name. What have you believed God for?  Anew Job, healing, a baby, Prosperity, new accommodation. What? It shall come to pass. The story of your life will change by the power that changed the story of Lazarus from grave to life. It shall come to pass that your shall come out of the grave and  arise and shine in Jesus name.
  5. Another lesson from this passage is that it does not matter how long you have spent expecting a miracle. It does not matter how long you have been believing God for healing. What matters is that you should not lose hope but hold on to God  in faith. Jehoiachin spent 37 lonely years in the prison. During these years friends and relations must have deserted him. He must have passed through sufferings, but one day his story changed. I prophesized to myself even as I write this article, that beginning from this very first day of the month of April in year 2008, the story of my life will change positively in Jesus name.
  6.  Ye another lesson. You know it was Nebuchanezar that captured King Jehoiachin, but it was another King- Evil Merodach that set him free in the first year he started to reign. A new King is coming to the throne that will set you free. A new Boss is coming to your office that will restore you to your rightful position. Every Nebuchadnezzar that has put you in any form of prison, the Lord will cause to be removed suddenly and unexpectedly in Jesus name. The new King that will free you will come to the throne for your sake in Jesus name.
  7. The seventh from this passage is that you must not lose hope. No matter your affliction, do not give up. Never think of committing suicide no matter the storms of life. Because Satan has not succeeded in killing you (and he will never succeed in Jesus name) you are still a dangerous person. Do you know that Jehoiachin could have died in prison before his liberty came if he had committed suicide or allowed his thoughts to weigh him down?  But he never gave up and stayed alive to experience his liberty.
  8. The new lesson is that divine promotion is going to accompany your liberty. When Jehoiachin was freed from prison he was exalted into a position that was higher than his previous postion. The Bible says in 2 Kings 25 vs 28: that Evil Merodach  …’set his throne above the throne of the Kings that were with him in Babylon’. You are going  to a new level in Jesus name.
  9. Let us consider the story of King Jehoiachin further. You know for 37 years he was wearing Prison garments? Imagine a King wearing Prison garments for 37 years? May be you are now in a lowly position compared to your past life, don’t worry, your story will soon change. One day, the story of King Jehoiachin changed and the Prison garments was changed by a royal order! See 2 Kings 25 vs 29. Every evil garment on your body and life will soon be replaced by the garments of Royalty in Jesus name.
  10. The tenth fact about your forthcoming restoration is that it will bring comfort. When King Jehoiachin was brought out of prison, he was not living an ordinary life, but the Bible says he Bread  contiounously placed before him all  the days of his life.
  11. Another related lesson is that when the story if your life changes soon, you will start living in abundance. When Jehoiachin was released from Prison,  a continual allowance was given him all remaining days of his life. You are not going back to affliction in Jesus name. The miracle God is about to do in your life shall be permanent in Jesus name. No form of affliction shall arise again in Jesus name.

The last point I like to make is that when the story of your life changes, you shall start feeding on the wealth of nations according to the word of God.

Read this: 2 Kings 25 vs.30 And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.

Why not rejoice because you shall soon start to feed from the Kings palace. You start soon start to get International jobs and contracts in Jesus name. God is about to connect you and International doors and opportunities shall be opened unto you in Jesus name.

Do you believe this story and that the God of Jehoiachin will change you story even today? I believe that Jehoiachin had a relationship with God all through the 37 years he was imprisoned. If not God would not have intervened and perform a miracle in his life.

If  you do not have a relationship with God, then you should not expect him to intervene in your life. Are you born again? Please say this prayer if you like to experience a new story today:

God my make, I come to you today just as I am. I accept am a sinners, and plead for forgiveness through the grace of your son Jesus Christ that you sent to save me from my sins. I accept Jesus as my Lord and saviour. I invite the Holy Spirit to my lie. I look unto you as my helper and pray you change the story of my life just as you changed the story of King Jehoiachin’s life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
